<laugh> read back ... not one Leicester supporter said Ipswich are 'bigger' - indeed I don't think any Ipswich fan did either - yet all conceded that Ipswich had been more succesful ... comments which you have chosen to interpret as meaning Ipswich are a bigger club by virtue of pedantics <laugh> if that's your measurement on what makes one club bigger than another fine ... I'm now chuckling because your choice of measurement, with your one league cup win in your history, brackets you with Swindon Town and below Wimbledon and Wigan ... poetry <laugh>

Steau Bucharest have won the European cup same times as Man Ure and Chelscum...are they the same..?

Silly point mate....

Aanyway i refuse to get drwn into this boards crap again...

If you say so mate, Ive been asked to have a truce with you,so here it is

Dont necc agre with your posts or you. But i will happily do whats right by my boards mods.

Would love a free for all one on one,but its not going to happen so lets just move on eh?

maybe you should read my rules to live by post. I have no problem with you at all, I also have no respect for you either.

You are completely entitled to your own views & they are as valid as mine. This is your board, Im a guest, so will behave accordingly

FYI..well done against derby..our rematch may be something important....I hope!

What on earth are you on about?

You seriously need to get a life <laugh> "Would love a free for all one on one" <laugh> I bet you would!

We have moved on, we never had anything to do with you until Grifter started a "banter" thread on our board, about how you were going to smash us etc... Didn't quite work out that way, beat ya 1-0, and you all got upset about it started crying like girls... Never understood why everyone called you DQPR until now <laugh>

Srry Jack.you have prob missed to much

Grifter made his own bed nd he deserved to be crucified for it..."aparently" he dished it out...so..he deserves all he gets..No defence from me

As for Jack..well he's a newbie....

Have loads of time for proper LCFC posters (same as Ipswich) but it appears yo ae looking fopr an arguement..

SO lets get it straight

I dont like, respect or want anything to do with Andy Crown

but i respect his right o posy hit views on his own board.

I have a truce that i will never break (unless my mods)...the best on this entire forum i will never break

I'd love a pm 1 on 1 with andy, but im told not too...My mods far surpass anyone on this board by a VERY long way !!

I did try to be nice & even apologize..maybe im not the problem...?

If you say so mate ...!

... read the thread Queenie ... my point all along is that you can't decide which is a 'bigger' club purely by the historical success ... Swords Hoopster seems to think differently and that we conceded Ipswich were bigger rather than just more successful hisorically ... the post you commented on was me being ironic comparing you to Swindon, Wimbledon and Wigan to show how ridiculous such a view is (for the avoidance of doubt) .... but I do appreciate you agreeing with me buddy! <ok>

For what it's worth most Ipswich fans see ourselves as a smallish club that has had the good fortune to have punched well above our weight over the past 5 decades! We were incredibly lucky to have had Sir Alf Ramsey and then Sir Bobby Robson come along and as a result we have achieved some pretty amazing things for a club of our size! The big problem is that when you experienced some great success it soon becomes an expectation and our problem at the moment is that we expect too much! We attract a regular following of 19,000 to our home games and around 2,000 to most of our away games so we have a pretty good following which is good when you consider that we have been in the doldrums for the last 10 years! Back in the early 0's we were getting gates of 27,000!

As Sir Bobby once said "Ipswich is a small big club" and I think this sums us up very nicely! <ok>

Well this is, as everyone on here knows, complete bollocks.

Everybody on this forum knows I respond to every PM as fast as possible. If anyone has any issues then all they have to do is message me for a 100% private chat.

I don't like seeing animosity between fellow board members- I think we can all find some common ground in the knowledge that QPR are bigger than both :emoticon-0150-hands

A fine post by any standard JWM

Jesus Christ, didn't you read the OP? Was that the only criteria I listed?

And if what you're saying is true then you're telling me that not one person on this whole thread answered the actual question asked! Nonsense, all the lads gave good answers.

Filberto, are you winding me up?

Not at all ... although I'm beginning to think it wouldn't be the most challenging mental test I could ever face <laugh>

If you care to read all of the responses it is apparent that, either by direct refute, tone or implication a comparison of which club is 'bigger' was seen by the vast majority of respondents as a flawed exercise due to the many differences bewteen the two clubs ... the only real common denominator being blue shirts. Leicester fans respectfully conceded that Ipswich had historically been more successful ... not that this was an indication of them therefore being 'bigger' ...

You have apparently interpreted such responses as ...

So having weighed up all the info from the respondents, mainly made up of Leicester fans it must be said, its quite apparent that Ipswich would be the bigger Club

... a conclusion that I suspect would only be 'quite apparent' to you <laugh> ... unless you are able to explain what else besides 'historic success' you include in 'all the info' ???? ... over to you Professor ...

Gentlemen, I've a question for you. Ever since the 94/95 season when both yourselves and Ipswich were struggling at the bottom of the Prem, I always kind of lumped both Clubs together. When thinking of one, I'd think of the other. I want to finally find out definitively which is the bigger Club?

So, taking account of the usual criteria when discussing the size of a Club (history, tradition, stadiums, attendances, nationwide/Worldwide appeal etc), which of the two Clubs do you think is bigger and why?

(I've just posted the very same thread over on the Ipswich Board)

Bigger ? We are at the mo. Not sure about ITFC´s attendance but our ave is about 22,000. Our ground is bigger, we are above then in the lge & we have more money.

So ain't no-one actually answered the question in the OP then Filberto?

I believe they did and did so graciously. And having considered all the responses I think (personal opinion based on nowt but the responses from mainly honest Leicester fans) that Ipswich is the bigger of the two. However, should the Foxes go up this season as its increasingly looking like they will, this topic may have to be revisited in a couple of years because by that time Leicester could be an established Premiership Club and Ipswich still in the FL.

I trust you will now take my conclusions in good faith and in the genuine manner with which this whole exercise was initiated.

Forever faithfully yours Mr Filberto, kind Sir. :emoticon-0139-bow:

Sorry, I didn´t know we were trying to get rid of him. I just thought I´d state the obvious to him. Not that I´m trying to make competition with ITFC.

Word with swear/dity words in them ? Competition, S****horpe, Cockroach.... Could start a thread with that some time when there´s an international week going on & there´s no champ´ship footie on
