"Sian Massey, the female lineswoman seems to get her decisions spot on. "

Women do not suffer from premature (flag) erection problems (that reads like usasoccerguy :) ) .

Arsenal have made a signing that will get their fans excited:

Dutch international defender Anouk Hoogendijk.
Poor girl. Should've stayed in Amsterdam and taken up a more honest profession... <whistle>

I believe it was Bill Shankly who said "if you're not interfering with play then what the hell are you doing on the pitch".

I hate that quote, it was always brought up in the old arguments about the offside rule being ridiculous. If the rule was that if you have a teammate in an offside position when you play a pass then it's given as offside regardless of who you were playing the ball towards then it'd be chaos, play would stop every minute and the game would warp into weird offside traps that involve the defence sprinting up to the halfway line midway through an opposition attack.

"he was left flat-footed"

How many times have I said to you, always look at the keepers' feet. As you say, Hart was left flat-footed because he was distracted by the player, so the goal should not have stood.

Despite what I said above, I'm glad to see this. I was starting to think I was going mad for being the only one that didn't think it was the worst decision since the dawn of time. I said before that I think it was the wrong call as I think it was an unstoppable shot and I'm not so sure he's distracting Hart before it's already essentially in the back of the net. But it is still a tough call and there was a good case to be made for ruling it out, as you've shown.

Nasri's had some good news, as he's only going to be injured for 8 weeks. They thought it would be a lot worse, apparently.

You'll hate the source even more then <whistle>

Turn the TV over then, there is no fun in watching that.

Way ahead of you! <laugh>

I'd watched it up to that point in the vain hope that Villa could repeat their opening day theatrics.

In fairness they had been growing into the game but Arsenal just shifted up a gear and took them out.
