I'd love to see Reina back even if it's for a game to say goodbye properly! Think even he was shocked to be shipped out! That said, Migs could be our keeper for the next decade.....I do hope the little errors don't rock his confidence too much...it happened to Reina and many other top keepers......now we'll see the strength of the guy mentally.

Yeah I agree. Can he handle the pressure and expectation?

I think he can.

I agree on Reina in the sense it was a shame we didn't get a chance to say goodbye. Maybe we'll meet him in the Champions League.

Imagine the reception he would get <ok>

If we are playing barca in the CL I'll be happy! if we sell for the reported 6mil to napoli i'll be raging again.

happened to hart... who just proved (sort of) that a couple weeks out is no harm. LFc don't have those two keepers to drop your chosen man do we? We did but you know... he is a kid in keeper terms. We should forgive some stuff as long as we see him trying ti improve.

I for one first pointed out his crappy distribution on here but i've also praised him as he's got a little bit better. He's got more comfortable with that side but he has made some goal conceding errors lately.

His poor distribution was well known long before he came to us. The Mackems warned us about it when we bought him so it wasn't really news. However, Pepe's distribution, along with his ability with the ball at his feet, was second to no other keeper, so Mig was always going to be found wanting in that sense.
It's in the past, we move on now. He's our no.1, and we need to get over Reina like an ex girlfriend.
As for the two of them working together, I can't believe anyone ever thought that was going to happen. Mig was bought to replace Reina and wouldn't get the experience he needed by sitting on the bench, and Pepe was never going to be happy there.
It was always going to be one or the other.

Well played guys,
We gave your team one hell of a game today! Suarez.. what can I say, the guy is a bloody genius, every time he got the ball I was bricking it tbh.
Not sure about the pen it looked iffy at best and it was handball to bring the ball down before he ran into the box IMO.
I think your being harsh on Mingolet no chance with first 2 goals and the 3rd, I think Walters miss hit it.

Still, I honestly don't mind losing a game like that. Not many score 3 goals against Liverpool and lose. GOOD LUCK for the rest I hope you get that 4th place at worst. <ok> PS Mingolet made 2 good saves 2nd half and we also hit the post and he reacted quickly to that.

it'll be like a john cusack movie next... reian will be the one that got away...

as for the two working together... for one year? why not.

utd... lindegard and de gea... worked

city. pantilimon is not too bad actually. given was never going to hang round mind.

arsneal.. a litany of crappy average keepers all working together.

I think if reina was needing replacing but it was next summer why not? 50/50 game time mark my words, by seasons end we'll revisit this topic again as mingolet is questioned.

Well played to Stoke too!
Certainly mixed it up nicely, a bit of old but a lot of the new that Hughes is trying to bring to you guys..
Agree, don't the pen was a pen but we'll take it (which opposing fans wouldn't).
Normally with Stokes record at home, you score 3 you'd most likely win by a goal or two..
All the best for the rest of the season, do us a favour and give the other teams a bloody nose too <ok>

you should be proud of your teams transformation. The rub of the green from the first goal to the last was with us.

Indeed I am, didn't think the ref gave us that much tbh. A bit hacked off about the pen but **** happens. For the record, we would NEVER have come back like we did today under Tony Pulis. I should be angry we lost 5-3 but with Suarez in your team you could win the league. Go for it!

Well, I've already given my reasons for why not so I won't go over them. I know you don't agree but I'm convinced that neither of them would have been happy sharing the spot, and I don't think that's a great idea for the rest of the defence either.
God knows, they need all the help they can get atm.

It was a soft pen, no doubt. It looked at bit more like one from the goal-line camera but I was still amazed we got it.
Still, we've whinged often enough when decisions go against us so I'm just happy to get them now and again. No consolation to you though.
Good luck for the rest of the season, hope our ex's keep doing the business for you.

P.S. I had to laugh when the commentator said Crouch had a muted celebration against his old club. Given the number of clubs he's been at he must never have any other kind.

I think all the bad luck we had in the city and Chelsea matches were repaid today. Unfortunately it only gives us 3 points and not 6.

Although there was some pretty piss poor defending from both teams but at least it was entertaining to watch. Mind you I would take a calm controlled 2-0 win any day ..it's better for my blood pressure.
Well done to stoke for making a game of it and of making Adam look a half decent player. His much vaunted dead ball delivery is still **** though.

Thanks
I'm sure at least I hope that when Assaidi comes back we will be OK. The pen? as I said **** happens and we move on now. Crouch? I guess for him it was just a run of the mill header <doh> P.S.. didn't see to easy myself at the game, but it looked like a handball before he ran into the box? Either way today you scored more than we did.
Looking forward to seeing it again on MOTD2 <ok>

For an ex-player how anti Liverpool is Mark Lawrenson? It's a total joke, here's a choice quote: 'We weren't sure watching it live if it had quite gone in, but there's the evidence' - ffs it's like he's trying to take a goal off us. Such a snidey, miserable little ****.

Well that was a great bit of highlights wasnit Pass and Move?

Yeah Pass and Move great stuff.

Feeling lonely?

Talking of Lawro, he ended up saying how he thinks Adam Johnson might have let himself down by leaving City.
Personally, I have more respect for a player who leaves to play football rather than sit on his arse for big money (though I suppose the latter is all Marky does himself these days so he can relate to that).

Just heard lawros comments about Johnson, what a gobshite he is. Really saws something that so many Liverpool fans dislike him

Hello TT <ok>

Lawro's an arse.....as for the game well it was ****ing nuts. I thought Stoke still look a bit confused, basically a squad set up for one style of play and learning another one. For instance Shawcross is suffering the way Skrtel did at times last season, wanting to twat it clear but knowing his manager wants to play a different way. As always however they are a team with a massive heart and a physicality that in the past we haven't matched. We are a different kettle of fish this year though and I likey....a lot :)

Quality wise we do still lack in areas that could cost us in the big games that lie ahead, however we also have one of if not the best attacks in the league as was proven again today. 5 goals at a ground where we so often struggle to score more than one. It's been a long time since I've seen a Liverpool attack that looks so confident in front of goal and yet where we can see even more goals could come from other players too (Sterling, Henderson and Coutinho).

Keep up the good work Reds <ok>

Nice to see a bit of positivity tonight, Billy. With some of the comments on here I was beginning to think I'd fallen asleep and dreamt the game and we'd actually lost 5-3.
We all know we have problems with defence, but these are the things we have time to address as long as we keep banging them in at their end. We're nowhere near the finished product, but we're so much better than any of us imagined we would be this time last year.
