He had a drought last season. This season you can write off because of who is starting in front of him. Still, last season he had 7 goals in his drought. That is more than any of our strikers by far. Our top striker is on pace to have 4 goals this season.
Haha I'm sure the word on Jela from some stoned Irish armchair kopite is more valid than a season ticket holding Evertonian who's seen him since the day he arrived
On strikers? Proschwitz, Graham, Sagbo, Gedo... Haven't really set the world alight. Tobes (another evertonian) just pretty much backed up what I was told. Impressive run when he first came made him look far better than he is, he doesn't really offer anything and he's just ****. He was that bad Victor Anichebe had to take his place FFS. I'll go with what I hear from people who see him week in week out, but if others on here would rather judge him off Wikipedia and 30 seconds on match of the day each week, feel free I just hope we don't have to spend another £5m hiring Sherlock Holmes to catch the thieves....
"Hello, is that West Brom? It didn't come from our end." Done. How many people from West Brom called for it to last 'half the morning'? I wouldn't walk up to a mechanic and say "listen mate, I know youve done this for 15 years and i know nowt about your job but I've seen cars being driven and you don't want to fix them like that, you want to do it like this."
Nothing wrong with liking a team in another country. I have season tickets at Ibrox, but City always come first, I go their games whenever I can barring work commitments which means I go to most of the away games and what people would class as the less attractive games that a lot DON'T!
Sagbo was peanuts anyways considering how well he has played. Half a season isn't enough to judge him.
We could end up with an attack of Jelavic, Long, Sagbo, Aluko, Graham. It never works out like that with us but still that would be amazing.
Can you imagine Jela and Long up forward with Sagbo sitting in behind, and Aluko to come off the bench with his pace? My god.
Are we in a position to sign one of the Premier Leagues current top scorers ? It appears to me that it would take just that to please some of the clueless buffoons on here. If Jelavic was on top form we wouldn't stand a chance of getting him, fact is he's has a dip in form which gives us the opportunity to sign a clinical finisher, albeit for a fair amount by our standards. These are the calculated risks Bruce is paid to make a decision on. If it comes off we could have a very tasty finisher on our hands. Just who do people want us to go for? Great signing if it comes off IMO.
