He was first choice last season, until he stank the place out & was dropped in favour of Victor ****ing Anichebe!

It's a massive gamble by Bruce here.
 
Jelavic hasn't scored many in the last few months because he has some bloke named Lukaku to contend with for a starting spot.

Haha, brilliant. My point is that's EXACTLY why they're employed. If they didn't have to field journalists calls about rumours they wouldn't be there.

I think we'll find Steve Bruce is a better judge than you. We'll take our chance on that anyway.
 
Just seen it on Beeb Syd..Decent signing if it comes off. A fit Aluko playing alongside him and Saggy...Makes me mouth water just thinking about it!!
 
I think he's a great signing for a newly promoted team, fair play and well in.

Ignore Tobes he's obviously a bit pissed off one of his strikers has been sold, and now they're so heavily reliant on someone who's simply on loan <ok>

It wasn't journalists they were having to talk to, it was people at WBA getting pissed off with us because they thought we'd given the story to the press to unsettle him before we'd agreed a deal with them.

I hope he is. It's just that, as a follower of English football, when his name was mentioned, my immediate thoughts were "Hang on - after a good start, I remember him hitting a massive drought with Everton. A drought that he hasn't really pulled out of." A quick check of the facts backed this up.

As I said though, I have faith in SB, I'll be delighted to be proved wrong, and the lad will have my full support when he pulls the City shirt on.

I don't care how many games he's gone without scoring. He's shown before he's a brilliant finisher and that doesn't just leave you. He's not even that old is he? It's a good signing if it happens but it'll annoy me if in 3 months everyone is moaning about him because he's 'only' scored x number of goals. It seems like another Graham situation waiting to happen. That's not a criticism in any way but some will think it should be.
