Mid table should be our ambition, definitely. But ultimately, our first aim should 17th.

Wow!!! Did AA get a positive nod and a wink from FA over his proposed name change or something? £14 m, just like that. If that isn't a statement of intent, I do not know what is.

Yea I agree our first aim should be 17th. But I think Ricardo said a few days ago that each spot above 17th was worth 1.3 million. So a Mid-table finish would pay for one player and almost pay for another one of them. I am sure that the Allams will be expecting a higher finish than 17th.

You have to put the first paperwork in by then, but other bits can be done afterwards.

As far as Jelavic playing tomorrow goes. Huddersfield signed Wells on loan despite having agreed the fee, personal terms, and him having passed a medical because they didn't have time to register him on a permanent deal in time for the weekend. How are we meant to have the time to do it when we've announced well after that we're only just about to start discussing terms with the player?
 
I had money on Jelavic being the top scorer at the last Euro's and now it looks like we're signing him.

Form is temporary, class is permanent and if this boy finds some form we're f**king well quids in.

I cannot seriously believe people are moaning about us signing a player of such proven class.

Tbf, I haven't seen one poster moaning. Maybe Hat but that's it.
 
I appreciate that I'm a bit late to the party here, and I must also apologise for pricking the party balloons a bit somewhat.... but isn't Jelavic ****ing ****e? Hasn't he been Everton's Danny Graham for the last season-and-a-half?
