basically. the only place he ever succeeded was in FM. I think his time at city has passed, more reliable players making bigger contributions have taken his place.
honestly.... there is a table predicting LFC sales out there. it had reina at 100k then johnson and skertl and agger trotted in behind our top 10 is reportedly 1. Luis Suarez £180,000 a week 2.Steven Gerrard £140,000 a week 3. Glen Johnson £90,000 a week 4. Daniel Agger £90,000 a week 5. Martin Skrtel £75,000 a week 6. Lucas Leiva £65,000 a week 7. Daniel Sturridge £65,000 a week 8. Jose Enrique £45,000 a week 9. Joe Allen £35,000 a week 10. Simon Mignolet £35,000 a week I don't think its right as it misses henderson who is on massive money for his age. I thought he was on 60k per week. http://www.thisisanfield.com/2013/0...t-half-a-million-from-their-weekly-wage-bill/ please note that coutinho is on less than 20k per week right now... stay tuned to that! Johnson has to go and take a big big cut. nobody is going to pay him this much unless its out in the us or something.
I do worry that the likes of Barca, Madrid or Bayern will bid for Coutinho eventually. We need to tie him down.
Is he not tied down to a lengthy deal already? Regardless of how much he's on, doesn't mean we'll sell him for chips should a bid come in for him. He appears to be more than happy here, playing week-in week-out, Rodgers as made aware that he's seen as one of the main men. Call me old fashioned, but I'd like to see our faith in him rewarded with a bit of loyalty (and the fact that we'll most likely double/triple his wages by the start of next year if he continues to perform.. )
Those teams already have there own Coutinho's. Coutinho already knows what its like to be the reserve option. He wont want it again.
was sidney sam a potential target on here for us? if he was just seen that he has allegedly signed a 4yr contract to join Schalke in the summer from Leverkusen.
he is supposedly signed til 2018. which is 4 more years. there must be increases in that contract but really it is downto the club and player to sit down... the club might have some release clause they don't want known or whatever. we'll see.
People said the same about Mica Richards at Man City. Doubt we'll ever see Kelly become a regular at centre back, at least not for us. Plus he's such a good right back why move him?
With Antonio Di Natale set to retire in the summer, Udinese have ear-marked Fabio Borini as his replacement
Think it was paper talk. Looks like Zenit are trying to go for Salah now..... CL and lots of money, gonna be a tough one to fight with.
I think it's always good when these type of clubs come in for a player. Is he interesting in playing in one of the top 3 League's in the World, or does he want an easy ride and **** loads of cash? If he choses the cash then it's no big loss that we missed out on someone with that mentality. On a separate note, haven't France now brought in (or it's been agreed to bring in) a 90% tax rate for people earning over 1m? If so, could have a huge impact on clubs like PSG signing players, and French teams in general keeping hold of their top players.
if salah wants to freeze in russia fine. we want guys wanting us not the likes of sahin or moses or willian looking for fast tracks or easy rides
Monaco were almost docked points at the beginning of the season due to them saying they had a way around that. This is also why we should have a look at the top players in the french league in teams like Marseille, Lyon, Bordeux, etc.
