Harding was always better than Fox. Fairly solid defender, good overlapping in attack mode and came up with a goal or two. Adkins never dropped him for Fox and it was only when he got injured that Fox took over. This happened to coincide with Saints drop-off in form over the latter part of the season. Even my wife commented, "is he supposed to be standing there!".

Lff, sometimes a fan's liking of a player can affect his vision. Fox started playing in the Forest game in September that season.... That's a seriously long drop off at the end of a season!

You can see how much alot our promotion winning team were carried by the likes of Moran, Adam and Rickie. The players released last season have generally struggled to get first team action. Seriously need some more defensive players so a cull can be made again

I read on the KUMB that Sunderland are prepared to accept £4m for Fletcher. He's a player I like and would've thought would be a good signing at that price if we can get him to come down from £50k a week.

Agreed, I think he's an underrated striker but I'm not sure he'd fit in here.

We'll agree to disagree I think he's played really well for medicore teams and with a better supply (eek do we have that) would do much better. Very similar to Lambert IMO, maybe a bit more clinical on 1 to 1 whilst being less creative. Hard worker too.

Had a bad ankle injury recently which kept him out for a few months but apart from that his record is pretty good. Wouldn't say he is injury-prone really.

Ok, I didn't check. Just one of those players I thought was out a lot. Thought he missed a few at Wolves. Hard worker when he plays, but I'd hope we would bring in someone better..
