    Cheers <ok>

So pleased for OGS and the Players, it will prove that we can compete by attacking teams ok it wasnt the Newcastle first team but you can only beat what is in front of you.

Nearer a full strength team, given what was available than Cardiff were.

Great win for you today but expected as much (see my post last night on 'A Football Thread ' #12) - even went as far as predicting a 2-1 win; glad to see I was correct - am now going to start slapping myself around the head for not putting a bet on!!

Hope the OGS effect continues - good luck guys! <cheers>

It's about time you started doing the same pal - been a month now, and 6 Prem games without a win is worrying form. Dai is getting worried...<laugh>

Maybe you should throw the Man U cup game today and leave us take them out next round eh?

    Thank you.

You've got a great club up there with fantastic support and a great heritage behind you. We'd be well pleased to achieve that in our future.

Just got back after the mother of all drives in the rain, and I didn't even get in to watch the match - my son did while I got blotto in The Strawberry. Anyway, it's a great start for OGS - let's hope it continues!

Cheers - I hope so too! As an aside, this was the 3rd time I'd been to Newcastle, and it just gets better and better - great city, lovely people...dodgy kebabs.

ITHTK - Apart from the football, the best memory I have of Newcastle (I think <laugh>) was in the 90's when I flew up there from Cardiff in a private Lear jet owned by Grundfos pumps.

It was a jolly arranged by the company for some specifiers and customers - only about half a dozen of us on the plane with their national sales manager.

The only thing I can remember was it only took about 40 minutes to get there, and the pilot (who you are virtually sitting with) said if you look down to your left that's Manchester. Christ, we'd only just taken off and I thought it was bloody Newport!...<laugh>

Don't remember the flight back, but somehow I know I had a good time.

Where is/was the Grundfos manufacturing plant and is it still there?

lmao!! My son & I actually stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn on St James's Boulevard. I suppose I should have known better buying a kebab from a place that's next door to a pub called 'The Dog' haha!!
