United fan here in peace, I just want to say congratulations on your victory today.

Was not our first team as well so shows the strength in depth we have compared with past games ........

yep new manager playing attacking football.

plus we got more good players arriving soon, great times at cardiff...

jck

Great win for you today but expected as much (see my post last night on 'A Football Thread ' #12) - even went as far as predicting a 2-1 win; glad to see I was correct - am now going to start slapping myself around the head for not putting a bet on!!

Hope the OGS effect continues - good luck guys! <cheers>

Did you win a game? missed that, well done!.....................<cheers>

It's about time you started doing the same pal - been a month now, and 6 Prem games without a win is worrying form. Dai is getting worried...<laugh>

Maybe you should throw the Man U cup game today and leave us take them out next round eh?

Just got back after the mother of all drives in the rain, and I didn't even get in to watch the match - my son did while I got blotto in The Strawberry. Anyway, it's a great start for OGS - let's hope it continues!

Well done yesterday it was fully deserved. Good luck in the next round. I think you will do well with OGS. Just hope the nutter gives him the time he will need. <ok>

ITHTK - Apart from the football, the best memory I have of Newcastle (I think <laugh>) was in the 90's when I flew up there from Cardiff in a private Lear jet owned by Grundfos pumps.

It was a jolly arranged by the company for some specifiers and customers - only about half a dozen of us on the plane with their national sales manager.

The only thing I can remember was it only took about 40 minutes to get there, and the pilot (who you are virtually sitting with) said if you look down to your left that's Manchester. Christ, we'd only just taken off and I thought it was bloody Newport!...<laugh>

Don't remember the flight back, but somehow I know I had a good time.

Where is/was the Grundfos manufacturing plant and is it still there?

I'm not sure but I think its in Sunderland. You would have flown into Newcastle though.
