It wouldn't surprise me if Cortese consigns bids and offers to the bin without so much as a comment. I suspect the only players he would currently say, yeah, I'll take some money for him are... Sharp, Forte and Barnard, because they're not in the squad. Everyone else, possibly including offers for Ramirez, would get an Italian style shrug of the shoulders, which registers as an enigma to many English people.
I understand Nicola not letting our first team players go when we are building a team, but sometimes I wish he would let players go that we don't need. Help Billy and Punch on their way and not be such a dog in the manger.
Just seen a comment from senior BBC reporter Ben Smith, who seems close to the club. Did the Cortese pieces, Pochettino interview and the Rodriguez interview at the ground that went out today.

And yet, 750k appears to be more-or-less the amount you think Saints should take the time to haggle over. If we really don't care much about 750k, and Puncheon wants to go and we are sympathetic to that, then why bother?
Unless you really think we can get 2-2.5 million for Puncheon, which I doubt. It's not like he's been a world-beater for them. They like him yes, but there are other options they can explore. Especially since they have him for the rest of the season anyway.
Now Dani is banned I really think we need another striker. Jrod or Rickie get injured and all we have is Gallagher.
We're fine, it's for three games, one of which is Burnley.
The other two being West Brom and Sunderland. If Jay and Rickie can't perform against them, I'd be surprised.
I accept that DTLW but what if one of them picks up a long term knock? Apart from Gallagher all we have is Lee and Barnard as back up.

I heard Gaston is loan with a fee and a possible future fee. Also heard we are looking at two wingers.
