REally Mr. IQ of 140 , Mr. All foreign fans are plastic By your logic we are 2nd on GD with in your words a "crap" striker yet you assume if we had one one of the best strikers in history in his prime we wouldn't be far higher up the table. You're proven wrong by YOUR OWN logic
We're 2nd in GD because of a stingy defence and goalscoring Midfielders. If we had Henry in his prime, chances are we'd either misuse him, get him injured or some such BS that only we can do.
Personally I think that if we had Henry in his prime, we'd be a few points clear at the top because he's exactly the type of striker that we're missing at the moment.
I honestly think we'll only go for a loan deal in January for a CF as back up for Giroud. I don't think we'll be able to land a top quality target this window, but I'd love to be proved wrong. But I'm not getting too excited by this transfer window and I'm just hoping that the usual suspects don't go off on one about Wenger being crap in the market again, because he doesn't buy anybody.
Top class player but his disciplinary record is shocking this season. He has played 12 games but has picked up 6 yellows + 1 red. I suppose if anyone could tame the beast, it would be Wenger.
No deal. Lazy as **** and would never work in our system. Would rather play Podolski as a CF if we do not buy another CF.
I still think everyone is still obsessed with this concept of one player being "better" than another, and not recognizing that a mediocre player that fits the team well may be more useful than a great player that doesn't fit at all. It is a totally hypothetical question which is completely nonsensical anyway, but I am really interested that the majority seem to think that football is so simple that you just have to find the 11 "best" players to win. Put Henry in a team and you automatically make it better. Surely Tottenham and Chelsea have proven that the game is far more complex than that and there is no outright "best" player. Henry was amazing at Arsenal because he found a position, role and a team that gave him the perfect environment for his talents. Up until then, he was merely average. Put him back into a team that didn't suit him, perhaps even in a team that faced packed defences and teams playing against him on the counterattack, and he might be average again. Also interesting that the campaign against Giroud is reaching Ramsey proportions and infesting every single thread on the forum. It seems all over the Internet right now as well. Even his supporters are wishy-washy in their defense. I just don't get it. The guy is putting in a huge shift every game. It is not that we couldn't see it coming though, even at the start of the season, when he was banging them in, we were being told that we needed to upgrade our striker. If ever there was a self-fulfilling prophecy, this is it. ****ing negative supporters have put so much pressure on our best striker, it is no wonder he is struggling. I think it is an even bigger disgrace how he is being treated than it was when they were doing it to Ramsey or Eboue.
And i think you're a nutjob who hasn't got a ****ing clue what he's babbling on about. Give it a rest will you.
I say it about both (mostly Kyle). TT at least has some decent basis for his some points but they degenerate quickly (and his debating style can be perceived as extremely condescending), Kyle is just...
