    Blimey, didn't expect that.

It does make you wonder what happened. I know we made a lot of changes, but how can we go from the team we've seen perform since Rene took over to this? In one half!

We can only hope that we come out all guns blazing for the next two home games, when we'll hopefully have our first-choice side out. Lots to play for yet, take each game as it comes.

Wow indeed. I guess we will have to put that down to a bad day at the office. Fair play to hull, only conceeding 3 at home before united and lumping 6 past us. The kc stadium is what the cottage should be , a fortress. Onto the next one !!!

Not looking forward to hearing the pundits rip our defensive display to shreds.

Oh, we'll. as long as we don't do that against West Ham or Sunderland things won't be so bad.

Not sure I can actually watch MOTD!

I was surprised to see the teamsheet, but could see the sense given West Ham on New Year's Day. However, the guys who needed to prove something today just couldn't when the pressure comes.

A serious blow today, but one that we need to move on from and put out our strongest team against the Irons and then Sunderland in 2 weeks time.

I was wondering about Clint fitting in, but it might have been a good move by Rene. And in the meantime, our Chairman needs to get $10-20m funds available from Wednesday to shore up the holes.

    C O Y W !!!

With you Surly. At least Rene has seen for himself, the hard way, that the squad is just not good enough and which players need to get shipped out, now.

Holy s**te. WTF happened? We were playing okay up until half time.
Maybe the Mule put this team together to see what they can do, to make a point to the chairman that we need new blood. I also agree that our youngsters wouldn't have played any worse.

    Flipping angry at the moment!

Well played Hull though, great result for them.

Tbf lads, I think you caught us on a bad day. Our second half performance, coupled with your changes, spelt for a disaster. It's nice for us to get a few goals because we normally struggle. From the off it seemed you was happy with the point, you kept passing from cb to cb and then back to the keeper before lumping it up and losing it. You didn't seem to have a direction or plan. I hope you get out of it, I've always liked Fulham and hopefully this defeat is the one to kick your season on. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Thanks for the good wishes lewis. Regretably, you very succinctly sum up our performance or rather, lack of.

As soon as the first goal went in Fulham seemed to give up. Everyone gets a hiding at some point in the season and the sign of a good team is how you come back from it. Fulham have some decent larkers and this will be when they need to stand up and be counted. As with Lewis, always liked Fulham and their supporters and wish them well for the rest of the season (apart from the return at The Cottage).

Thanks for the feedback gents. Our performance today sums up our seasonal far. Inconsistent...

Also I can see where Dempsey will fit in this squad. He can't be any worse than some of the players started today!

Well I had the very misfortune of going today and have just walked in and have reached straight for a scotch.

I arrived with some optimism and then heard the team - no Parker, Reither, Roddallega upfront and Ruiz in the team - mmm I thought. It was a strange team against Norwich so I reserved judgement.

First half I think both teams were as bad as each other and it looked like a 1 nil to either side would do it. We were not playing that well and hoped for a better start ... just noticed we are up first on MOTD - typical !! - to be continued !!!

Whatever genius at Fulham decided we didn't have the money for Huddlestone needs sacking. If only he was in the team.

Huddlestone's been brilliant for us, but today, he was simply outstanding.

He's quite possibly/probably the best player we've ever had.

You've got some decent players and shouldn't really be down at the bottom, but you really need to get your defence sorted, there was some Sunday League stuff going on today.

Good luck for the rest of the season, as long as it's not at our expense. <ok>

Thudd is probably the buy of the season, especially at £5.25M, which I believe also included the loan fee for Jake Livermore, another one that's done us proud! I'd like to say that good teams come back from heavy defeats, we've done more than ok since getting beaten by Southampton 4-1, but 6-0 is more than a heavy defeat, it's a demolition, an embarrassment.

I too echo what my fellow posters have scribed, I would rather see one of the supposed 'big' teams struggling, but I have to say that I fear for Fulham after a defeat like this. You obviously need reinforcements in January, but who, other than the usual overpaid, overage, under achieving mercenary types are going to want to come. Anyone that is wanted by Fulham in January will have been taken aback by today's result, it will certainly not have gone unnoticed, and I think you will have all on to get the right type of player in, good luck though.

Not sure I should have watched that on MOTD !

Since Rene has taken over we have seen a dramatic turn in form and commitment from the players and I think it has given us all hope that we are getting back on track. Today though it all went out of the window when they scored their first goal. Heads down, no communication, giving the ball away easily and just making it far too easy for Hull.

Frustratingly we tried passing the ball casually at the back from left to right and of course lost the ball on many occasions in dangerous positions. Also frustrating was the lump up ball from Stockdale to Ruiz, presumably to knock down to Roddallega. Ruiz has never headed a ball in his life. He goes up for the ball and not once does the ball ever connect with his head. Every time we just passed the ball backwards and no-one was making space. It was terrible.

There are a lot of games around now so I understand the squad rotation but this really exposed our lack of depth in the squad and how much we now rely on Parker. Karagounis has been good recently and got the team going but not today, he was very poor. Rodallega, Ruiz and Bent had their chance today and they blew it.

On the positive I enjoyed the banter with the Hull fans - decent friendly crowd and well worth their win. Secondly if there was any doubt on whether we need to spend in January then today it was dispelled.

The West Ham game is now really important to start again with our attempt to get out of this mess. Somehow we need to forget about today and put our best team out and give it a real go.

Dont know what the F happened tp you lot today....

The newmanager is certainly making his mark on the team though?

Guess fulham Traveller wont be over on our board for a bit, so there is a positive to the result <laugh>

Terrible team selection after your last few games. Hull aint exactly a good team.

Time to move on quickly i'd suggest

    Good luck <ok>

EDIT: Id also bet my house that would not have happened with Jol in charge.....!
