Bent, Zverotic and Rodders are not good enough, Stockdale is a solid back up but not a premiership number 1
Ruiz is good enough but isn't up for a fight
Serious question marks over Hughes Senderos and Riise all seem up for a fight but in there mid 30's just rant up to it.

I feel we have have undone a months worth of hard work in 60 mins two massive home games next which could decide our season and we are going into them on the back of a ass spanking by Hull

Well, this has been just pathetic.

Alot of work to do in January to try and piece this squad together into a team for the rest of the year. Just dire today without Parker.

No depth to the squad at all that's why we have been killed off by Hull today. Khan really needs to dish out the cash in the upcoming window if we want to stay in the premier league.

Genuinely thought we could have gotten something today, what a depressing performance.

This game has really shown our lack of strength in depth. Without Parker there is absolutely no structure to the team and this performance reminds me of the aimless, pointless football of the Jol era at its worst.

Hull haven't been very good, they've just been direct and parted our defense with ease. The centre backs are no where to be seen and our CM has given them no protection. Ship out Ruiz & Sidwell, bring in a new CM and CB and that's a good start.

That Huddlestone was available in the summer for a reasonable fee and we weren't even interested... says it all about how woefully underprepared we have been this season.

What a depressing game. We've been putting in good performances recently but this is just woeful! 6 goals in one half. This seriously stamps us a relegation candidates which can only hinder our transfer activity in jan. I only saw the first half so i cant comment on many individual performances but Huddlestone looked good today, he should be in our squad and it stings.

    Thank God is finished!

Hughes on the bench, not any better than Senderos. Actually worse.
    Sidwell on the bench.
    Ruiz out useless, no impact
Bent out, no wonder why nobody wanted him
Hugo out, not good even for Wigan.

Time to rebuild even if that meanswe go down.

A list of things I never want to see again:

    - Steve Sidwell
    - Bryan Ruiz starting
    - Kasami on the left wing
    - Rodallega starting
    - Zverotic starting at RB
    - Steve Sidwell

We really, really need to think about our squad. Would youngsters do a worst job than that pathetic "effort"? Is it better to just pay people like Bent to stay at home? Are we better off just cutting our losses on players like Ruiz?

I feel humiliated by today's game. I'd rather we go down and ship out the dead wood than ever, ever have to watch something like that again.

You guys had the misfortune of playing against our (almost) full strength team. We do actually have about 11 or 12 players capable of starting in the Premier League, as hard as that is to believe. If we'd started today's team against your guys, I'm sure you'd have had a similar day to Hull.

I know you made a number of changes today, but can that really make THAT much of a difference? Says a whole lot about the strength of depth (or lack of).

We are both in for a bumpy ride for the next 5 months I fear. We have lost Hooper with a hamstring, so have no 'proper' goalscorers left. Yeah, we have no strength in depth either.

Just got in to see the score, was expecting to see someone had got sent off in the report, but no.
Sounds like it was a not a good team talk at half-time from 0-0 to 6-0.

Each season I look at teams who's goal difference is really poor and they are the ones who keep struggling
normally we aren't one of them, but this season we are and it doesn't bode well.

You guys better hope it can make that much of a difference, or you are really in trouble! Of course if you really need a 'proper' goalscorer, I am sure we could make Darren Bent available...? ;)

In all honesty, we've been bemoaning the lack of strength in our central midfield for 18 months. Without Parker, nothing has changed and we were exposed today. Kasami shoe-horned onto the left wing to accommodate Ruiz... one of the main criticisms of Jol at the end. Ah well, I trust that the Mule will see the under performers today and things will get better. We're still only in the bottom three on goal difference...

I'm back from my run and still fuming, so much so I just ran a 5k in 17min 12 sec knocking 6 seconds off my personal best.

    1. I'm a bit disappointed in Rene with 3 regulars injured making six more changes meant 9 regulars were not playing

    2. goal difference matters I work with a lot of Palaces fans and was confident that we would overtake them even we lost to Hull as they were away to Man City

    3. A defeat like that can really hurt morale we have been playing well recently and a narrow away defeat can keep morale decent

    4. I thought our new found work rate was due to Rene identifying the issue, I'm now concerned it was just the new manager effect with players trying to impress the new boss and we will now slip back into our previous lacklustre displays

    Good time Cookie...

I think we fielded a Jol team. Kasami out of place wasted. Ruiz nothing to offer, left, right or centre. Sidwell lost and running like a headless chicken. Kara showing his age against a young midfield with no Parker to help. Zverotic could not link with Dejagah. Hugo is not a PL striker either. Taarabt did a much better job.

The defense is samples and Stockdale had a few good saves but responsible for some clearances that went straight to Hull players.

I would expect these players to have put their names down for first team football. Instead they will be on the transfer list to be shown the door.

Rene has taken full responsibility unlike previous occasions and I am sure he will sort it out!

Come on Fulham. Massive game against the spam.
