The chairman's a muppet! Malky MacKay was the best Cardiff manager for at least the last 20 years! I hope he manages another Premier League club this season, it could be West Brom!

You're probabaly right, but he hasn't had much to be better than to be fair.

The other point to remember is that we're in the Premier League now - new territory for all at the club. No guarantee that being the "best for 20 years" was going to be good enough.

No, I can't agree with that. One had to go and we have a much better chance of not descending into chaos with just a change of manager.

Take the freak show away from this situation and MMs position would be under question anyway. His recent record is not great, may be not bad enough to be sacked but if he'd been left in place till The end of January I'm sure he would have been sacked based on results alone.

Before Cardiff Malky`s claim to fame was getting Watford to mid table in the championship, the same team nearly secured promotion under Zola.

It will be interesting to see how Malky does at another club, and how he sets out to play games, looking forward to seeing that.

In the meantime I expect us to get someone more attack minded.

And before Malky your claim to fame was choking in the play offs year after year <doh>

Surely you are a jack on the wum.

Nowhere near the same team as Zola had at Watford, When Malky came to us Watford then got bought by the Italians that own Udinese and Grenada, they then loaned up to 12 players to Watford and that was the team that Zola almost took up.

The one thing that Malky had was the financial backing !!! He used it pretty well in the Championship and got us up playing his preferred system.
He also had financial backing in the summer, Some excellent signings but some pretty poor ones as well.

IMO Malky was sacked because his Football teams were bloody awful to watch, Tan has a tv channel showing Cardiff games and is trying to get some support in Asia.
Would you watch that dross and throw your support behind Cardiff.

Ah you are correct forgot Zola got players into Watford something Malky failed to do.

No and there's another problem ,tan's purpose isn't to better yourselves but to raise an already high profile back home , as you've already discovered, at any cost

Everyone who does not support Cardiff will want Tan to fail but he will do his best to succeed which can only be good for us and not so good for all the other teams with no money to spend.

God knows how much Tan will pump into this now with a new manager coming in, i can see a few players on the way out but will the new manager get us what we need.
If he needs help he only needs to see how wrong Malky was getting it and improve on that.

Well money won't be the problem for us, and I don't see how the new manager can do much worse than Malky did.
Paid 2.5 million for Brayford, don't think he has seen the bench, Corny wasn't exactly inspiring the 45 minutes he played for us yesterday, at a cost of 8 million Malky proclaimed him "one for the future" obviously not Malkys future, he knew what was about to happen when he said that.

You've just reinforced my point , seems Sam still has a big influence but seems to baulk at the idea of spending more money.

Controversial former owner Sam Hammam, who is now Cardiff's life president and a confidante of Tan's, gave his backing to a move for Solskjaer, but ruled out a move for Eriksson.
He said: 'It is not like Vincent Tan woke up one day and said, "What shall I do? I will sack Malky". This has been going on for months, after we had bought all those players.
'If you look at why they reached the Premier League it is two things Malky's ability and also, far more importantly, Vincent Tan's money. But all the accolades went to Malky.'
He added: 'I hope (the new manager) it is not someone like Eriksson. We need hungry people, people who put their foot on the break when spending money... Someone like Eriksson, who has seen and done it at the nighest level is going to come wanting a lot of money and a lot of people around him.'
Referring to Solskjaer, Hammam added: 'From my point of view he is (in line with the profile Cardiff want). I have known him since he was a young kid and I tried to buy him when I was owner of Wimbledon. He had a good grounding at Manchester United and now he is manager at Molde he will have a good grounding.'

That's your 2nd ****ing rubbish comment about that in a row. Eldon put you straight in the first place.

Watford changed ownership, therefore the budget changed. MM was given our job because he'd done very well at Watford on a tiny budget. They were playoff contenders until they ran out of legs in Feb.

It's true, in football money doesn't equal success, but try doing it without, impossible these days.

Sam, snake in the grass and possibly the poison chalice in all this, how much has he been lending his "football knowledge" to Tan?

We will have to move on and hope the next manager has a bit more clout about him, OGS might well be good enough, but nobody inspires me at the moment.

7 wins in the last 32 games is no good at all.

Playing like we did against Southampton is no good at all.

Those are the facts if anyone thinks differently then that is up to them.

Who the new manager will be will not matter he has to do better than 7 wins in 32 games and get the team playing better.
