Apparently we were so it's a moot point, but I'll explain what I meant because I'm a bit clearer in my head now than I was (although probably more confusing to you lot now I'm sure what I was saying). I think if the club is choosing people to enter into discussions with for something like the meeting with AA or for the FLAG group then they would like to approach the "leadership" of a group or forum to arrange their representation. Obviously with CI the leadership are the people who run the site so they're easily identifiable and they can then deal with choosing who to send for themselves. With this forum the leadership has no connection to the club or anything else. The nearest we've got to a City connection in the leadership of the site is us as mods, and if you look at the case of the FLAG we already had OLM and PLT on the panel* so we'd have been seen as being recognised already. Even though they were representing other groups, the idea of having 3 members of the panel coming from the same place could be seen as giving us too much involvement (it's not like the lack of official presence affected us being able to bring things up). *I know they weren't mods at the same time, but the club do monitor forums so who ever it is that does that would have known both of them were in that position around that time. I'm not saying it would have been mods representing the forum, it would have had to be decided by the users as a whole. Just that mods were already on the panel and they're the most noticable posters for them to approach about sorting it out so they'd think we were covered. This. I think if we as a group were unhappy with what was being put across by fans at these things we'd be able to push for a place of our own, but we're generally quite well covered by memberships elsewhere, panel members from elsewhere also being on here, and the club having someone to check these things out.
The groups are all pretty incestuous and cross pollinate each other quite a lot, to use a couple of awesome metaphors. As we're starting to see, and will become more apparent in the new year, they're all also pretty self serving whilst trying to paint a totally different PR stylee picture.
I feel there is some self serving here and think they smell opportunity, But i feel our main goal is to not have the name change go ahead and CWTD with what ever faults people are picking seem to be the right people in moving that forward. Dont agree with the MM stuff but agree that the badge and colours shouldn't be changed with out asking season pass holders veiws (i'm not a season pass holder) some good points brought up on both sides......But sorry i carnt agree with the name change of my club. Sooo drink up i'm off work for a change Merry christmas xxxx
minutes please ? ... or is this still subject to an NDA that I said it would be before the meeting ? only one way to prove me wrong .... you cant can you ?
I'd be ok with them if they were just formed to challenge the name change, but I do not trust one single one of them. I'm expecting the next announcement from them to involve Adam Pearson, although even an appearance from Bartlett on their side wouldn't surprise me. I don't quite think they'd go as far as Bates but I wouldn't put anything past them. Enjoy the drink and have a good Christmas fella! Kinda surprised we've not seen any comedy photos of your mutts with rudolph antlers or sommat. I assume like us, you've also brought your dogs pressies, and wrapped them up? Barking mad aint it?
The secret minutes, written by CTWD, contain personal references to the owners family (if memory serves me correct, happy to be put straight on that btw), and thus the club would not sanction their release. Is that the status Obi/OLM? If it is, why not just remove the personal references or redact them?
Dogs didnt go down to well with DMD and added other picture of family from yes-ter-year and they was called ****'s not that the guy got banned for it? So give up with that, But yeah both have it all got them some huge bones new dog leads and a log for bullion and a ever lasting ball that boudica will never chew (yeah right) Was out on saturday and woke up in the spare bed with a 12 stone dogue which my missus found funny and added to FB
