The saying "All dressed up and no where to go" springs to mind. Agonizing to see the horse you backed cantering behind a wall of horses. Nothing went right in the race and i agree with you that we will get our money back next time!!!
Barcelona 2-0 down after 15 minutes to Getafe so I thought why not have a little dabble so I put £5 on Barcelona to win at 3/1 and £2.50 on Barcelona to be winning at half time and full time at 22/1. half time whistle just gone and thanks to a Pedro hatrick Barca are leading 3-2 can't see them losing from here and am kicking myself for been so cheap and not putting more on!
Good stuff and be thankful for small miracles. I remeber a few years ago having the princely sum of €4 on Roma to lose 2-3 at home to someone in the Champions Leage at 45/1 (can't even remember who it was ). Anways, it was 2-3 after about 75 minutes and I spent the next 15 minutes praying for neither side to score. It worked and I scooped €184 but I remember thinking, why didn't I have a score on it? But I was happy for the win nevertheless.
I just had to re-read that sentence a few times, as I initially overlooked the word "at"... So Firstly; I thought it read ""Barcelona 2-0 down after 15 minutes to Getafe so I thought why not have a little dabble so I put £5 on Barcelona to win 3/1"" Its been a long weekend !!
