That was quick of the mark Masta - I thought I was getting up a bit early for tomorrow and you are already on it.

    Good luck with yours <ok>

The reason I was trying to get in early as I have been waiting for a horse since the fog descended on Lingfield a week or so ago as was having a decent bet on a horse and had got a good early price and put it straight up on here only for the fog to call everything off. It runs tomorrow and have just gone in again with the same bet as the race is just as winnable for this horse, with the only drawback being he was drawn beautifully last time where as now a place to travel will need be earned at the start by the Jockey. As the pilot is Jim Crowley we should be ok. I really feel there is Christmas money to be had at Lingfield tomorrow so wanted to post up nice and early.

    Good Luck.

    Lingfield strong bet
    2.30 Nassau Storm 7-2
This horse is well handicapped and in the right grade. I love the all weather at Kempton and Lingfield once the flat season proper has finished and this is my first proper bet, very confident.

There are also two other bets worth putting with this to try and land a decent pay out with a multiple for small stakes.

    Lingfield
    2.30 Nassau Storm 7-2
    3.00 Clerks Choice 4-1
Ran very well on comeback flat run a month ago when unfancied and could take this.
    3.30 Rutterkin 11-2
This horse is coming so far they could spend the entire winnings on petrol. A word of warning that this horse has been gambled before and let down but they clearly feel he could win tomorrow.
    Trixie 3x doubles & 1x Treble

An extra small treble could be wagered on Spiritoftourmentall instead of Clerks choice as I have it very close between them two.

Encouraging. The 5/2 has all but gone and the 4/1 has gone completely. Maybe I will have a win today.

Morning, all. If my 'A-Z of Celebrity QPR Fans' is reliable (insert your own slim-volume joke here) then today is Stick's birthday. Many happy returns, Maestro, have a good day, and keep 'em coming.

To everyone else, a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. I'll be back (I hope) when the spring sunlight sparkles on the dew along Six Mile Bottom on the first day of the Craven Meeting.

Stop it Chelsea - getting me all worried now with my selection in that race of Nassau Board.

I must admit my conclusion when weighing that race for opposition was that Noble deed is without doubt a useful horse that would be winning races again, however I took the view that it would not be today as he is being run over 7f and his form thus far indicates he does not really stay that far. I say this as his two last attempts both carry the comment 'weakened inside final furlong' and the result from those races have seen his worst finishing positions. For me he is a 6f horse through and through as his form is very good at that distance. His form in all reads 9 runs, 3 wins, 3 places and 3 unplaced and his two attempts at 7f fall into the unplaced. He is also drawn out wide today which also means Liam Jones will have to either make use of him very early and risk him not seeing out the trip or drop him in and hope for luck.

All of this said however I know full well you have put up some good stuff before and so do not doubt your info, I am sticking with the form book over info today but have just placed a reverse forcast with Nassau Storm just in case. Thanks for putting your info up, even if it has just spoilt my morning <ok>

With Liam Jones riding his form is 411. First run for new stable and Liam Jones rides.

That last run at Ascot was a £15k race and was beaten a shd. He was holding the horse on the inside and may not have noticed the strong late run on his outside. Certainly bred for speed on the sire side but there is some stamina on the dam side. I see the dam is a granddaughter of Dancing Brave.

I think to win this he will probably have to get an early lead and try to ensure he is far enough in front not to be caught late by Nassau Storm.

Big question is whether he is as good or better on polytrack as he is on turf. There is a "myth" that polytrack form works out well at Ascot so maybe reverting to poytrack may not be a problem.

I think that is a very fair assessment Ron and I agree with the riding plans you suggest as well. I am worried now Chelsea has put the horse up with strong info but do feel Noble deed will run well today and then go on to take a 6f race very soon, there is still certainly room on his existing mark in my opinion.

Today's racing is pretty poor and not worth punting on so I bid you all a merry Christmas and will be back with a couple of winners on Boxing Day.

Enjoy the time with friends and family chaps.

Apologies on the Nassau Storm front as really believed in that horse today and went in for it properly. It was clearly unlucky in running as got no run at all and Jim Crowley accepted this in the last furlong, with the run being closed off so far out it was inconclusive to say unlucky would have won or not. My view is still however that the horse should be followed again if running in the same grade next time.

Noble Deed ran a great race and did as I thought simply not stay the 7f, I would have no hesitation backing this horse next time he is dropped to 6f again.
