This may be your opinion, but is only an opinion, not a fact. In any event, as you very well know, putting a catchy, if meaningless, name on merchandise does help sales. I mean, who would have thought "Diesel" jeans would sell? And of course the massive Asian market will buy all sorts of stuff if they think the name is good. Jaguar cars for example - and there are others in the automotive industries who have fallen into the Asian holdings and whose brand name is routinely used to sell merchandise.
Oh right, I thought we were special with 5 family birthdays, 1 anniversary and a traditional weekend visit to some friends during this month.
Each trip to the KC takes me 2-3 hours driving. Away games obviously vary but the closest to me is the Emirates which is an hour on the train plus some walking.
My wife doesn't like the Rolling Stones.
Are all anti progress supporters as dense as you?
That was a very polite response all things considered.
so as no one can put forward a reason for us to remain Hull City rather than Hull Tigers other than emotive ones and the potential of us tapping the asian markets.
I cant see why the name change shouldn't go ahead.
You hypocrites won't exactly boycott giving Asshead Allam his money cause you are "supporting the team".
PILE OF BOLLOCKS!

You missed off calling us all "little Englanders".

You're frighteningly dim.

I will not be there. I'm a plastic football club supporter, only there cos its Hull City, I only support the players cos they wear the shirt, I only like Steve Bruce cos he is our manager at the moment. I'm not there for the glory just for the joy of supporting Hull City.
I actually get a little bit disappointed that we lose players when we get promoted.
The attraction for me is bound up in the name. Take the City out of Hull City and I doubt that I will go to another live football match again.
The poll happened. It was conducted by our only daily newspaper and the results will be submitted to the FA. I'm sure the FA will consider the result. As I said the only question is how much weight the FA gives the results. 604 for Hull City Tigers and Hull Tigers combined doesn't suggest overwhelming excitement in Hull for the name change does it?
That was a very polite response all things considered.
You're not being offered Hull City Tigers, you're being offered Hull Tigers and anyone who thinks that dropping City from our name is a minor name change is not rational.
My point was more to do with the picking and choosing of source information to suit your cause. The FA will do what they do based on their own agenda, if this poll carries any weight with them then god help us all!
anyone that disagrees with you? you turn verbally abusive.
You are really an angry little man aren't you?
P.S. watch that blood pressure!
Thanks Ben. I still ain't happy to your admission earlier that you're not really called Ben, nor are you indeed a Sir. I suspect you might not even live in Cheshire now. I feel betrayed, but even though we don't agree on stuff, I think you're alright.
You just quoted a post in which I wasn't abusive at all.
In your case I'll make an exception though, thick ****.
