I'm half expecting one of Levys famous "Open Letters" to appear in the coming days, which he probably reads back and has a smirk, proud of his words, while I'll be surprised if most don't read them and think "what a pile of ****e".
His final piece of engineering was to manipulate the 5-0 loss? Could he have been that clever and calculated? I doubt we'll ever find out with 100% certainty.
So apparently AVB was told yesterday morning he needs to bring Ade and Benny back into the squad if he wanted to keep his job. He said no way
The Neville tweet is stupid. We don't give PMs or managers 4/5 years to screw things up before we judge them - they are expected to be moving in the right direction before the next election. Elections aren't the only way party leaders lose their job - ask IDS.
Boss thinks I'm Gary Neville. I don't know whether to be pleased or sue for libel. I expect Gary Neville will sue though
His own decisions have slowly isolated himself, sticking by decisions that negatively impact on the team, in this case of two players in key areas we could do with. Or are we calling them key areas now, only because these two were missing? The LB mess has had a domino effect into our CB pairings with JV constantly used as LB cover. What has happened to to JV anyway, 'Rolls Royce defender' last year, player of the month awards etc. this year, absolute toilet. Playing out of position because the manager can't resolve an issue with another player.
The press seem to think that we've got a recall option, presumably in January. That would be consistent with our other loans to sides outside of the Premier League.
AVB via Telegraph: "Spurs held talks with Manchester United, who were willing to pay £100m for Bale and might have also taken Adebayor."
Here's the full Telegraph story on the supposed rift between Levy & AVB... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ger-Andre-Villas-Boas-had-become-distant.html
Avb isn't the most engaging person is he, if you look at the previous managers such as Jol & Redknapp, with them you can see Levy would have been up and down, one minute wanting to rip their heads off, the next sharing a joke. With Avb, he was probably sat there waiting for him to leave the room and that was one of his main problems, he is just a very rigid, dour man who isn't easy to engage with and in the end Levy couldn't build a working relationship with him and give him the dreaded word, time.
