They just need to give AVB time - teams who buy a whole new squad of players takes a season to get used to one another.
Luckily for the Spuds their whole new squad has real quality whereas Sunderlands doesn't - hence their respective league positions

I remember telling the most arrogant Spurs fan of all time that I didn't rate their new signings... He berated me and claimed I'd never watched a football game (love that response)... Wonder where he is now! 
Spurs have spent vast fortunes for years and years and years, and this has culminated in years of utter embarrassment for their fans, which at least makes me feel slightly better about our owner spending f*** all (and a bit evil).
Their team is so unbalanced. It's literally like they vomited a Football Manager list of "future stars" onto the pitch and expected them to make a decent real-life team.

Is that what your hoping for, sure Levy would want a manager who falls to pieces when his team are winning at half time.
AVB is a poor manager, his only success has come due to having inherited wonder players. Falcao and Hulk at Porto (he nearly threw away his crowning glory - the Europa League - by playing his high line in the final only for them to dig it out) and then Bale at Spurs last season. That arrogant Spurs fan was bang wrong, Lamela is an awful buy for the money, Soldado too expensive, Eriksen a luxury that finds form infrequently. He should have spent every penny of the Bale cash on a similar world beater, as this is the only way he gets success, 8 or 9 workhorses and 1/2 world class players.
