I don't just mean today. Osvaldo has improved recently but bar his wonder goal has done nothing much thus far to warrant his price tag.
I'd rather not include the penalty goals, cause Osvaldo probably would have scored them too. Lambert's had a fair amount more games too. But yeah solid logic from you as always.
I think this is true but we must ask why our strikers are scoring less and getting fewer chances. It is almost as if our midfield is sitting deeper and therefore our strikers get isolated.
Agree with this. At least Lambert has been trying to find other players, and has done so on occasions, despite playing out of position. Osvaldo has lost the ball, pretty much every time he's touched it. Last weeks goal seems to have affected him in that he doesn't see the point in passing anymore.
But the truth is it is not just today where we are not scoring. We just lack width and people getting in behind. There are few runs from the midfield beyond the strikers.
