Don't need more strikers, we need the ability to get the ball the final third via something other than a long boot.

Yeah lets bring on an unproven youngster. Great idea. Not.

How can anyone slate Lambert? He's had sweet f-all to work with, Osvaldo's been equally as useless as him for the past 3/4 games.

Lallana and Gallagher to change the game. I feel that Ramirez will let us down again but more than happy to be proved wrong.

Too many passes, too slow to build up, too tight, too complicated. Meantime, Newcastle get looads of payers in position and eventually we misplace a pass or they nip it off someone's toes and recover the ball.

It's a scenario Saints have been in before with Pochettino's style, but it is magnified today, so far.

We're worth a point here. Though God knows where a goal's coming from.

Ok. Yeah. All our other unproven players have shown themselves to be ****.

I sympathise with this view to an extent, he's been feeding off scraps, but of all his attempted flicks (and there have been a lot) only one has actually come off.

Schad's right though, we need more in midfield. Even without Cabaye, Tioté and Sissoko are running the show.

Well, he hasn't. He's scored two goals, Lambert? Rickie is slow and ponderous.

Osvaldo is winning more of the ball and is trying to bring others into the game.

Two times in the last five minutes of that half Osvaldo brought Lambert into the game, and he then wasted the play.

We need a playmaker on, so one of Gaston or Adam, and one of Jay, Rickie and Dani off. I'd choose Rickie at current.

Strikers are allowed to be a bit useless as long as they score.

Think it's harsh to highlight Lambert when Osvaldo has done little of note either, and has also wasted a couple of good moves with poor touches, but regardless I'd definitely like to be seeing Lallana on for Rickie.

I'm sorry, but bar the goal against City Osvaldo has done absolutely nothing which has continued today. You could count the amount of times he's touched the ball on one hand.

There's a time and a place to give youngsters their PL debut. This isn't it.

Osvaldo and Lambert are both currently performing below their level, frankly. No point in arguing who is worse.

There's a time and a place for unnecessary rudeness. I guess the internet is a nice home for you.

By "currently" do you mean today, or in the past few games? Because I'd say Osvaldo has been pretty good the past few games. Today, not so much.
