Another thing on from that - it is known that if you put a rubber ball in your armpit and squeeze down it can stop the pulse in your arm. In the final scene with Molly, Sherlock is bouncing a rubber ball.

John felt his pulse, and he didn't get one. Maybe this is why...

He still leaped from the top of a building though, so pulse or not, he's not going to be in a very good state. I think chances are he didn't even jump off the roof. It was either somebody else or another really strange plot line.

It's a brilliant series, I can't wait for the new episodes. Perfect hangover cure.

I reckon the patch of concrete that looks different and/or the nearby truck could resolve the jump question.
 
Soooo just watched "Sherlock" and there's a flaw "Professor Moriarty" Dont know what the efin hell BBC Moriarty is ment to be? he just comes across mental and that was something Professor Moriarty wasn't and he would never ever kill him self for Sherlock. That spolied it for me , but the rest seems ok maybe add a bit more smoking and Sherlocks cocaine abuse and could be onto a winner here.

Mycroft Holmes was no idiot as the BBC shows, Mycroft was very intelligent if not more then Sherlock, he just couldnt be arsed putting the effort in.

Edit: Loved the adventures of sherlock holmes and that got me into the books, and the rest they say is history

Why? It's a modern take, you make it different otherwise it's the same old stuff.

Andrew Scott is brilliant as Moriarty. Why should the character be the same in Victorian England and in modern England?

Moriarty killing himself is exactly what this Moriarty would do. He knew that in him dying, he knew that Sherlock also had to die.

As if the BBC would show cocaine use from one of their main shows' main characters... same with smoking, that's a no no for some reason now.
 
Quick question...I thought me and the missus had caught up on all Sherlock stuff, but I don't recall him dieing or appearing to die. Was there an episode recently, or one that never made it to the iPlayer or have I just missed something??

I remember him falling off a cliff after chasing Moriaty I think, but that was in Switzerland, and I know how he survives that, plus....that mighta been in a movie not the Cumberbatch version...

#1 How can he be? Was he insane? Read the books! to see who Moriarty is and what motives him!
#2 What the point in calling it sherlock then if its not some sort of rehash?
#3 Dont know what the water shed is on this? but with naked women,dead bodies, a head been blown off and people shot in the street, i am thinking it could be past the watershed and the smoking and cocaine is what makes sherlock who he is!

Not saying its bad and feel you could merge this into moden times as sherlock could be more relevant today as back in the day!

Moriarty died when he fell off the Reichenbach Falls and Holmes faked his death to make the remaining Moriarty henchmen expose themselves

But really they both died there, But due to demand and money problems Sir Arthur Conan Doyle brought Sherlock back.

Thing is, they've rehashed the victorian style stuff before. This Sherlock is written to suit the modern day
day. The Hound Of the Baskervilles was brilliantly done, but the original story in a modern world would have been a bit flat.

Not saying changing a story to fit modern times is wrong, But changing Moriarty's character is! or what is the point in calling him Moriarty?

Moriarty is still Sherlock's equal, so they haven't really changed the character whatsoever.

Like has been said, it's a modern version. Why should everything be exactly the same?
 
Apparently the BBC are going to release a mini-episode on Christmas Day.



Also, I noticed Lars Mikkelsen is the new main antagonist in series 3. Did anyone see The Killing? He was brilliant in that.
 
I was surprised they didn't show the first episode at prime time Christmas day.

I thought theyd show the first on Christmas, the 2nd the following Saturday and the 3rd on NYD.

Sadly the BBC would prefer to show **** such as Eastenders at prime time on Christmas Day.

To be fair I don't watch telly on Christmas Day evening. The only thing i'd consider watching anyways is Dr Who.
 
Er actually the BBC is showing Doctor Who at prime time on Christmas Day, which is entirely fair enough.

What I don't understand is after what, two years? We're getting three episodes in the space of 10 days. It's like weaning an addict off heroin then giving him three huge hits in quick succession.

I agree, it takes a lot for me to watch telly on Christmas.

Usually a good Christmas special or something like that.
