Farking lovely!

Ok, the breaking news is this;

I'm supposed to go to the Christmas concert on Tuesday as the Wednesday showing is for the parents of the older kids. If they are bureaucratical toss pots and enforce this rule it means I will not be going to said Christmas concert which will allow me to have a cheeky pint or two Wednesday evening.

Big if but I'll keep you posted.

What's the latest?

Just nailed a 12" ham & cheese crusty cob with a steak slice on the side. Now eating two plums with a Double Decker, Wispa and a packet of Soft Fruits to follow <diva>

Works Christmas do tonight so will be the first taste of festive turkey.

Having pate to start, Turkey an't trimmings for main followed by cheese board and port.

Bet it's ****.

Tunny, if you do go to The Valley today they do a really fine fillet steak. It's the only place I ever go for a fillet steak, I usually prefer rump or rib eye.

Pricey for a boozer but worth it. Fresh Bass is always on too.

So has anyone got any interesting recipes they will be making this Christmas?

I'm cooking this year, so plan on lifting the skin of the turkey and squirting butter under it then walloping lots of streaky bacon on top, pigs in blankets homemade ones. I'm planning on par boiling the sprouts then halving them and frying them off in butter with bacon lardons. Roast parsnips which will be par boiled left to cool then rolled in a flour and brown sugar mix.

Things undecided are making my own stuffing. Whether to have a starter and pudding.

Made a baked cheesecake last year. Will do a ham as well for Boxing Day.
