Hello Geordies!

Given your current form, if you were to finish say 6th, would you stick with Pardew?

Every time I come on here people are talking about his poor tactics and how he is wanted out by the majority.

I'm not saying he's good, but you are getting results and he must be due some credit?

A case of better the devil you know?

This is grossly unfair...

We're seemingly at the stage of the guy who has neglected his friend with braces, terrible hair, glasses and the awkward laugh, but bumps into her years later and she's Rachel McAdams... Would you really ask that guy if he's still complaining about her past eczema and bad dental hygiene now, or whether he'd settle for her?

Haha

I think it was mostly just our frustration that we clearly had good players but weren't getting results, and so the obvious target for our complaints was Pardew. TBH I'd stick with him now even if we finish mid-table

You're irritating refusal to use a perplexing analogy has utterly baffled me DG <ok>

I think it was mostly just our frustration that she clearly had good attributes but wasn't confident enough to show them off, and so the obvious target for our advances was her best friend, who's now famous for being an overweight tranny who's been on "Catfish" about 6 times already. TBH I'd stick with her now even if she was to dye her hair ginger

Sorted <ok>

Never changed my mind on this. See where we are at the end of the season after his 3rd full season in charge. Doing a good job. The constraints and regime he works under means there will always be as many downs as ups though.

When we would realistically be looking at people like Jol or Ian Holloway as his replacements, better the devil you know.

Pardew is not half as good as he thinks he is, but he's better than the bottom feeders who might consider working for Mike Ashley. Any up and coming manager with sense would stay away until the club had changed hands and there was more transparency about managerial control. Besides, we're doing OK right now, looking at a finish between 11th and 7th which is a lot more comfortable than last season at least.

When the team are hanging onto too many one goal leads rather than killing the game is giving me far too much excitement for my own good...

What concerns me is that he's riding a wave and he still doesn't know how to kill off a game.

Also Pardew is the second longest serving manager in the PL, it feels strange to have this stability after all the years of chopping and changing managers.

Stick. Any negativity towards the manager right now is quite frankly ridiculous. If we sacked him for finishing 6th the board would need their heads testing...oh wait...

Stability will result in consistency if you get the right man. Hopefully this board have learnt from theirs and the previous regimes errors. If as seems likely Pardew has a solid season, I think we have to give this a chance to develop. We have gone through some real lows last season and these can serve us well in the future. You can't just hoy the toys out at the first sign of adversity. Thankfully we didn't do that last year despite the fan pressure as we would have been starting all over again.

Stick. Any negativity towards the girlfriend right now is quite frankly ridiculous. If we dumped her for putting on a little bit of weight over christmas, we would need our heads testing...oh wait...

Agree with this analogy... A bit misogynistic mate, but agree with the point <ok>

Stability will result in consistency if you get the right girl. Hopefully us lot have learnt from our previous relationship errors (crazy Mandy... just wow). If as seems likely this girl gets pregnant, I think we have to give this a chance to develop. We have gone through some real lows last year and these can serve us well in the future. You can't just hoy the toys out at the first sign of adversity. Thankfully we didn't do that last year despite the lack of erections and her consistently hogging the phone to talk to her sister, as we would have been starting all over again.

This just seems sexist. But again, yes <ok>

Stability will almost always result in consistency. It just won't necessarily be consistently good.
