Agreed, too many GIFs being posted for me. If people wanted to see a big play or whatever, NFL.com pretty much posts up every single big play from each game.

So would you be in favour of a separate "play" thread, which people could link to specific videos from the main chat thread, for example; someone could find a good gif/video of a great pass post it in the play thread and then talk/rave about it on the main chat thread and supply a link to it.

In effect we'd have a discussion thread with mainly text (would ordinary photos work there?) and a go to thread where all the plays could be shown and discussed about too if that's easier.

We could also start other ideas from this like a top 5 plays of the week (off the top of my head) or if anyone else has a really good (probably better) idea, why not.

unbelieveable game, farcial, if they weren't paid such huge sums to play the game I'd suspect the influence of far eastern betting syndicates.

Ordinary photos, as long as they're not ridiculously huge, would be fine. GIFs are so large though, and they're animated, so it seriously slows the site down. Trying to view it on a mobile is impossible.

Makes it harder to read in lectures. :(

I'm supposed to be in lectures right now but I'm still sat in bed <laugh>

Hah, my project is due in 2.5 weeks, it's worth 4 modules...should probably go to uni.

Oh wait I lied, the report is due in 2.5 weeks so the project has to be done in like 1. :(

So what is gonna happen with regards to the weekly pick points for the Vikings/Packers game? Is everyone going to get one point, is everyone going to get no points or are you gonna go through and arbitrary select some people to get points and some people to not get any points? <laugh>

Instead of a 1 or a 0 they both get 0.500 of the point, which means that if a team ties when above 0.500 it is more like a loss because it drags down the win percentage. Below 0.500 it ups the average so it could be considered a win. Unfortunately for the Packers, they were exactly at 0.500 so it gets them absolutely nothing, but they don't lose either.

I have a group project worth 2 modules due in for today (well, Friday, my group leader wanted a few days grace beforehand), still haven't finished. I have a CFD report to do for Friday week too, that's 12 pages. And then I have a literature review for my final year project to do for the week before next term starts...

Again, :emoticon-0152-heart engineering.

Cheers, although I meant for the competition here.

I guess for the Viking's it could be considered a win as their average is probably below that. However, after throwing away such a big lead, it could be considered a loss. Feel rather conflicted. Makes me glad the Steelers didn't get a touch down in the last play at Wembley, methinks it would have been a tie otherwise (or a loss!<yikes>)

Doubt it would have been a tie, it's very infrequent that an OT game ends in a tie. 4 ties since 2000 shows that.
