Legend mate, had the pleasure of meeting him when i was a nipper and my mates dad used to work for Sunderland borough council and used to get VIP days inside one of the boxes at Roker
Proper surreal having a chat with Monty then getting introduced to Marco, was proper star struck and didnt know what to say!

Ha ha! I reckon he had bigger thighs than Roberto Carlos and thats saying something! Apparantley he now runs a succesful B&B in York city centre with his wife, can still see him now running onto the ball and drilling it into the corner- what a player!

The story of why I support Sunderland is a long one, but I've definitely clocked up some mileage over the past 20 years.

Force of habit mate.

I used to run a 45 seater coach, from Mansfield, to very home & away game during the late 70's/early 80's.
I've always tried to help anyone to get to see the Lads and have sorted tickets for loads of strangers ...... I'm mates with one of the Villa directors so should be canny for tickets for that one.

I've always believed in the decency of Sunderland supporters.
I'm going to the Chelsea league match, after Villa, and will be staying with an old BBC606 lad, Gordon Armstrong, who's putting us up and sorting out the tickets.
Him and his lass have been here on holiday and we really rolled out the red carpet for them.

We're all in it together mate and we should never forget that. I don't know the lad but will always do anything to get a few more Sunderland to every game.

I've met him for a couple of beers, and he's a good lad... I've tried loads of times to get him back on here, but he was having none of it..
