    Damn this international break.

When we return Michu may be fit again and wecare back to the old conundrum. Hopefully Michu will be rested a few weeks to get 100% and to allow Bony to bed in even more. Then we can have both at 100% with a side that knows how to play to both their strengths ..and then we have real options to open teams up.

Loved Bony's movement for his second goal, great forward play. Take the defender in then pull away opening a gaping hole for himself, great skill in having that awareness to do that. Lots more goals to come from Bony.

I said he's get at least 15 this season and he's on course to do that.

Tbh I don't totally agree with Michu being out being a blessing, well not for Michu and Bony anyway, for the rest of the team yes, as fr me they thought too much of Michu and wanted to play it in to his feet, which he seemed to be getting very frustrated with, hopefully with him out they will focus on crossing more, as Michu loved that sort of service last season too, so feed the beasts and they will both score.

I think Bony has got the gift of making goals look easy when in reality they're not. His second goal was well worked, as swanselona rightly says. Shelvey did the hard work but Bony was astute enough to draw the defender in then take a couple of steps away from the goal to create the space. If you notice he does that a lot.

Hopefully our players will start to realise that and at long last start playing to the guy's strength. Michu will always drive towards the goal directly but Bony thrives on crosses - on the deck or in the air. When the team manages to mix it up and effectively utilise both we're going to be awesome. You read it here first.

Hopefully this'll happen at Fulham 'cos I'll be there. :)

Imagine if we'd paid £26m for Soldado - three outfield goals.

£11m for Ricky van Wolfswinkel - one goal.

Bony is the most successful of all the new strikers this season.

Only Negredo comes close and he's played more games and probably had better service than Bony.

I agree. Many have questioned Bony on this board and I understand why. His touch has looked suspect at times and he often looks as if he doesn't 'fit' with us somehow. But he'll come good I'm sure and as can be see from the stats he's scoring goals.

Those idiots up the M4 like Sparkey and Swamp who have called him an "overpriced carthorse" are well off the mark.

It's good that many people see the ability he has.

If he gets 15 goals this season it would be fantastic , it is hard for the guy to adjust to this level and a new team so well done him I say ;)

Well I think the adjustment factor has had a part to play in his misses, NJ. He should have scored another two at least but fluffed them. He's definitely taking time to settle into this team and a tough new league. But if Bony isn't firing on all cylinders just yet but has still managed to score 10 goals imagine what he can do in the future.

He has his weaknesses (who doesn't), but give him the ball in the box and he'll score.

Fifteen goals would be a pessimistic total. I suspect he'll comfortably exceed twenty by the end of it.

I agree it was great movement but full credit must go to JJ for great skill in getting in a position where he could deliver the ideal pass

Great cut back outside to create the space to get the cross in and also he took two defenders with him , excellent goal created by getting in behind the fullback and an excellent ball to feet .

If we provide him with enough chances, he could well hit 15 goals before Michu comes back <ok>

I was very impressed by Bony's second goal, especially because the delivery by Jonjo Shelvey was magnificent as well expressing so much willpower and commitment and the pass was perfectly served for Bony, who scored in a way that only strong centerforwards can do it.
Bony is geting better and better and is slowly adapting to brittish football. This game showed that we can reasonably expect more goals from Bony in the near future.

He's scoring better than a goal every other game when he barely starts and where the service to him doesn't exactly play to his strengths. If our midfield and wingers finally get the hang of playing him in properly then that might even be close to thirty. It's just a shame that our manager has chosen to mostly waste him for the first few months of the season.

It's gratifying to finally see the penny drop with some people that we've got a striker better than anything they've ever seen in a Swans shirt before.

As for goal tally, I can't see him getting anywhere near 20 in the League but I really hope I'm proved wrong. If we stay in Europe for a while than he'll get that overall imo. He's got 10 already.

At Werder Bremen 2 seasons ago the former dutch topscorer Bas Dost was playing from the beginning in the starting XI most of the games, but he didn't succeed at all and ended to sit permanently on the bench. All confidence was gone.
IMO Laudrup has chosen the right approach to let Bony slowly adapt and slowly building up Bony's confidence

But our players have to learn to serve Bony with the right goal giving passes as well. At Vitesse Arnheim mainly two players were creating these important passes / crosses for him.

"a striker better than anything they've ever seen in a Swans' shirt before".

Bit extravagant, not to mention premature, there Lone.
I think there's quite a queue ahead of Bony for that accolade.
What about the likes of Curtis and Latchford?
Trundle and Scotland could also apply for that position with some confidence, based on their striking achievements, albeit at lower levels.

Bony hasn't done anything yet,to warrant such approbation. IMHO.

Hopefully,by season's end, he will be well on his way to fulfilling and justifying your claim, putting huge smiles on our faces.
