With monkey boy, Gareth Bale finally starting to find some form at Madrid, Di Maria has been dropped to the bench. He has not started in any of their last four games. We need to make a move for him in January. Di Maria and another forward would be perfect.
Di maria would be a fantastic signing, but a team like real Madrid use the whole squad throughout the year. Ancelotti would be mad to lose both ozil and Di maria in a year
Gazidis earlier today... “Olivier Giroud won’t be able to go on all alone until the end of the season. We need to buy.”
If we manage to get Suarez next summer, we will be unstoppable. But during January, can't see us getting either Benzema or Suarez, Llorente or some other unnamed striker is like option, maybe a 6 month loan deal.
Apparently he's developed one. I can't see Suarez happening (while Liverpool are still high up the table). Benzema seems to be back infavour at Madrid so I don't see that happening either. De Costa rumours surfacing again. Might be a good signing.
The playing staff have **** all to do with IG, I wish he's just stay away from matters that fall under the sole control of the manager. Sure, if AW wants to buy someone he goes through the appropriate channels for funding approval, but suits should not interfere with quality of playing staff....
I mentioned this on another thread but seems more appropriate here: Loic Remy anyone? He has premiership experience and looks a born finisher. Would bring something different to our attacking options.
**** No. He's the French Defoe. Inconsistant but decent finisher however the rest of his play is garbage.
I would be Happy with Llorente or Huntelaar to fight it out with Giroud for a starting place. Jackson Martinez is another option. His record at Porto has been superb. (9 goals in 10 apps this Season)
Llorente is too similar to Giroud. Has a better shot, worse movement and positioning, and is on the worst form of his life.
Hope Wenger and co are drawing up a list of CF's to target in January as we speak, cause Giroud on his own ain't going to take us to the title, and I think a new CF can even improve Giroud by giving him some competition. At the moment, he knows that no matter what, he is going to start for us week in week out.
chuck enough cash at the bin dippers and he will be at Arsenal in Jan . Its not about if he would come here , but IF we want him enough and dont penny pinch . Are we serious about a title challenge or just " well it would be nice but , not at that price " Its not like we are short of cash , chuck the cash at the pool and we will get him . FACT
Would you turn down 55 mil though? It was said Arsenal had 70 million to spend and we spent 42 million of it, while gaining 10 million leaving us with a net of 38 million. Plus the fact that rumors are spreading that we'll get another 30 million (because of Puma deal) on top of that. That should be tempting.
