Thinking about it, I fear for Arsenal today. there is no doubting the fact that 'Pool is currently enjoying a purple-patch regarding form, whilst it is a recognised fact among us intelligent pundits that Arsenal hasn't (apart from a very shaky Spurs side) yet met a decent team. It's easy to look good against canon-fodder sides, but my suspicions are that Wenger's men will fail miserably against 'Pool.

0-3 wouldn't be too much of an embarrassment for them, but they'll have to work hard to contain the scoring to that level.

I have to admit although I posted that it was a tough match to call I expected Liverpool to do better. Seemed to be a bit swings and roundabouts with Arsenal starting brightly and then Liverpool dominating and then Arsenal scoring against the run of play, they all count though.

Brendan Rodgers will ask Liverpool's owners for two big January signings to deliver Champions League football with Greek forward Konstantinos Mitroglou, 25, high on the list of targets.

I actually think that Roy should, first of all, concentrate on stopping Goofy leaving in January. No one is going to convince me that he won't try and force a move to either Arsenal or Real (the latter no doubt being his preferred port of call). In my view, it is still far too early for 'Pool to be thinking about CL footy.

Disappointing that you resurrect this thread with that... very weak.

At least wait until we lose 3-0 to Fulham <yikes>

You'll get at least a draw against Fulham,

The trouble for you is, that every time Goofy has a decent game, Real (and Arsenal) will become even more determined to take him off your hands, come January. It's a real (get it!) dilemma for you.

Goofy showing exactly why he's too good to stay at 'Pool.

Must be really bothering you that he's still with us yeah.

Don't worry though, most of the pile ****e you got for 100million might be asking to moveon aswell when you finish 8th this season.
With the footy you been playing, i doubt you would even get there. Your luck is bound to run off at some point.

Must bother you that with us playing ****e football we're still on the same points with you (should we beat the Toon, tomorrow), yeah?

To be honest I won't mind him leaving.

I'll mind if we don't spend the fee well.

Can't really be happy for him scoring in a red shirt, just for the team as a whole.

Absolutely bothers the **** outta me. The difference between the two teams is massive and s mere 3points don't do justice.
How many fluke wins already this season. I just can't believe your luck.

You're likely to not get any points against the toon though.

No shame losing away to Arsenal, probably the best side in the PL sofar.
Compare that to getting humbled at home by the mighty WestBrom and the mighty Stoke <rofl><rofl>

Welcome to the Amnesic world that is ManUnited. Gollum is your coach and mediocrity is your future.

I think our problem has been spending all that cash on trophy polish.

The thing is HIAG we've been playing **** football most of the season too. Usually getting the job done with one or two first half goals and pushing through to the final whistle. Yeah we scored 4 against West Brom and 4 yesterday - but other than that we're nowhere near at our best, so I don't understand your rationale there??

You're probably right that you've played worse football, but maybe just maybe that because you've got a worse first 11 than us ;)

All these new players you got in weren't all going to come good, and that's clear to see now. The like's of your 30mil bench warmer and the penalty taker are 2 examples of this.

I think in all fairness Spurs have a stronger first XI and squad, so should be disappointed with being behind (or soon level) with us - particularly as we haven't played well until the last two games.

You think you played well against Arsenal?
