Wrong. Look back over any of my posts and show me where I have ever raised Soldado up beyond the level of Pav (whom I considered to be the most useless "striker" since Shevchenko, in the Prem). I cannot believe that we blew £30 million on a player who cannot score more goals than Darren Bent, who most Spurs fans (though not me) still slate as useless.
And Bent was never given a proper chance for us, Robbie. Not like Soldado, Defoe, Pav, or even Crouch were given. If you don't ever give a man a proper chance, how is he going to prove anything?
Another year He's only just arrived and it would be poor business to sell him now as his value would obviously be less than what you paid for him. £25? £30 mill? I genuinely think he is good enough. Regards Bent, true he might not have been given a chance - but why not? Might it be because he wasn't rated as part of the team? Personally I don't think he can cut the pressure at a top 4/5 team.
