BT Sport confirm they have won the rights to exclusively broadcast the Champions League and Europa League for three seasons, starting with the 2015/16 season.

Sky said to be "absolutely furious".

BT also confirm they have rights to show all European league games, as well as some FA Cup games.

Leaves Sky with the Premier League, Football League, and the League Cup.

Well basically some Champions League teams may play nice football but at the end of the day, I have no loyalty or interest in them so I couldn't care less who wins so it's pretty meaningless, unless I have a personal connection to the team or they're uber underdogs such as Nicosia a couple of years back. English teams are inherently more interesting because they're places and teams I know, have been to and have much more of a personal connection to than Donnesk. St Albans v Dover would be far more interesting to me than Shaktar v Basel.

Damn BT have all the Champions League games from 2015. Don't know how one company can have every game, thought that was illegal?

They say they will show free-to-air games, such as the final I believe. Also say they will show any British side at least once for free.

Amusingly enough, Sky have released a statement criticising BT for pumping so much money into the sport.

Least with Sky you get good pundits and commentators. BT is ****ing awful, I don't want Owen or James to be pundits on a Champions League game.

Will please non-footie lovers. I have friends complaining about European football replacing the usual programmes.

Honestly can't stand BT Sport, the pundits are ****e, the commentators are ****e and the coverage is ****e. Why on earth do I want to listen to Jake Humphrey, Mark Halsey and Michael Owen? The sooner BT sport ****s off, the better.
