    Not just for footballers - for example have always been a fan of David Jason, but then a couple of years ago he went and spouted some anti-Europe crap that I found 'most disappointing. Same goes for a load of MPs who I previously respected joining the "no to AV" campaign coming out with the same pathetic drivel for arguements as the Tory right.

    That's a shame about David Jason. He's always seemed like a decent guy. Let's hope footballers continue to keep their mouths shut about such things, as they'd be bound to come up with some serious nonsense.

    Think some are going a bit overboard here about a throwaway line when we were Brighton's main rival.

    Yes, in theory. I'm sure someone will post later on the match thread.

    You moan at Poyet being dirty; which team has committed the most fouls in the PL this season? That must slow down play, too...

    Not really, they'd already won the league. He was just bitter.

    Cattermole doesn't need any encouragement, he's been an idiot all his career ....... Dossena won't be welcome at Sunderland after that tackle.

    Incidentally Southampton committed twice the fouls than Sunderland tonight ........ are you a dirty side?

    No, we play a pressing game, which results in trivial fouls.

    <laugh>

    Don't move the goalposts?

    You mean the referee blows for fouls that aren't dirty ........ if they're foul play then they're dirty by definition, it's 'foul play' <doh>

    So you think there's no difference in dirtiness between pulling a players shirt and, say, stamping on someone's shin?
