He seemed to have a problem with saints when we were League 1 promotion rivals with Brighton.

I think he's a knob head. I just wandered what over people think.
 
I always liked him as a player and thought he'd make a good manager, but the way he set his Brighton team up when they visited St Mary's in our league 1 promotion season convinced me to change my mind. They were nasty, niggly and time-wasting. Still gauls me that they went up as champions.

Yeah I think you're right there mate. I genuinely dont like him at all but he did seem to really hate saints so he'll want to win tonight big time.

I'm sure he encourages players to stick in career ending tackles as we saw again at the weekend.

He seems to do some silly things its true. However, whenever I have seen him interviewed (i.e. not a 'not thought through' post-match interview) he comes across as intelligent and thoughtful.
 
I'd luv it, just luv it........to smash the macks and start the journey of them finding a second manager this season
 
Serious question; do these sound like the words of a man who hates Southampton?

They have done very well, they have kept the core of the team. They have added two or three players who are performing at great levels, so they are a very strong team.

They are the biggest surprise so far, but it's totally deserved because they play a football which is quite brave and very aggressive, especially pressing at the beginning of the game, so there are plenty of things we need to do right to win this tie.

I don't care whether he hates Southampton or not, but he still comes across as a bellend in pretty much every interview.
 
I don't think he cares one jot about our club. Just never taken to him or his tactics. Agree with AA above. Niggly and time wasting.

You don't think maybe those tactics were tailored to getting the best possible result against that particular opponent?

We may well see them again, but it's a sign of respect if anything.

Not just for footballers - for example have always been a fan of David Jason, but then a couple of years ago he went and spouted some anti-Europe crap that I found 'most disappointing. Same goes for a load of MPs who I previously respected joining the "no to AV" campaign coming out with the same pathetic drivel for arguements as the Tory right.

Not just for footballers - for example have always been a fan of David Jason, but then a couple of years ago he went and spouted some anti-Europe crap that I found 'most disappointing. Same goes for a load of MPs who I previously respected joining the "no to AV" campaign coming out with the same pathetic drivel for arguements as the Tory right.
