I'm not saying it's a totally fair system, but its fairer than the person who has been to three matches not being able to go than people who haven't been all season or just the once. In an ideal world we'd all be able to go but as we can't the club has to prioritise.

What better way than people who have been to most matches. I'm not sure I understand why you can't see this. If this system wasn'y in place you would have no chance anyway compared to the 10,000 plastics applying. Yet, then by your standards you'd be happy. Happy that more long term fans can't go as well as yourself.

I know which system I think is fairer.

Thanks. I think it's just frustrating that people who support City simply in the Premier League who have gone to more games this season get a ticket, however I can't when I've booked time away for it and saved some money aside.

Hopefully me and my friend will get a ticket on his pass, if that doesn't happen it's Sky HD I reckon for myself! I'll be heading to Swansea and/or West Brom anyway, should be a good laugh!

Well, for a start the game is on Boxing Day... a bank holiday.
Secondly, I can't argue anything. But in my eyes I have an equal right as a Hull City fan to watch the game than anyone else in the ground does! As for "not watching the **** teams," I've seen Exeter City, Scunthorpe and bloody Lincoln play against city at the KC. Just because I didn't watch a game against Newcastle doesn't mean I'm just a loyal fan for the Man Utd. game.

Congratulations for going to all the games, I'm glad you had the money and time to do that. I've saved up for this game, and can't now go thanks to "loyal fans" getting priority. Just because people go to more games than me does not mean they are more loyal at all.

Go to West Brom away, loved the away day at West Brom in our first promotion season.

I do agree with you in some senses, but its hard for the club to find a happy medium, their priority is to get the grounds sold out this season so clearly they are going to put priority on been to games this season rather than long term fans.

Surly supporters who have been to games last season & the season before & the one before that are not the glory types regardless of how many games they've attended this season.

I have posted on here this season you know . Just haven't been very active recently.

They could well be glory types, but the majority won't and as I keep saying, how else can the club prioritise fans? Regarding the bit in bold I disagree. If they're not supporting the team now when 24,000 other people are then how can they be viewed as more loyal than any of those 24,000? The here and now is what matters most.

5 home games this year is all of them, or one short if you include Palace. We're talking about floating support, if they were attending every game they'd have passes. They may well be supporting the club now but only at three out of five games.

A bit two faced from them, isn't it? Especially, if they slagged us off for years while we were ****e, during the time they watched their teams win stuff at home or in Hull pubs, only for them to become desperate to go to our ground to see their teams in the flesh.

So desperate that they beg you to get them tickets.

I very much doubt they'll return to watch City afterwards.

Can't imagine there will be many who have been to 5 games that don't already have a pass.

I've only managed two games this season, Norwich and Everton. It's frustrating for me living away with the cost of travel, but I'm unlikely to get a chance to see any of the so called bigger teams. It's my second season since League Two without a pass and whilst I miss the games, I'm happy to reclaim my Saturdays as previously it meant a 10am departure and not getting back until after 8pm.

They had last season and before to 'discover' supporting our club.

We need more 'entrenched' and 'hooked', so we don't have to keep constantly trying to woo the ****ish 'attached' who will drop us like a stone once the 'glamour' is gone.

But surely the ambition is an extended KC stadium filled every week and playing in Champs League - this could only ever be done by cashing in on our success and taking the club forward. Whilst we're struggling to get 25000, we won't move forward and become established as a 'big club'. Although there are reasonable arguments for not even wanting to be a 'big club'.

We could extend the stadium & fill it every game with 40k supporters for the next 10 years yet the Champion's League would still be a far off ambition. We will never compete with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Spurs & Liverpool.

We'd need to be filling the stadium with 70K+ to have the slightest of chances. Not going to happen

Need to slowly wean new fans onto the reality of football.

Nil- nils. Defeats. Mid table games etc

They need to develop a 'big picture' long term view nit just a 'glory game' mentality.

They need to understand that victory tastes sweeter when you've had defeats.

For me living far away I will go and see city play whoever it is against when I'm there, I don't go to see the opposition play. Now I might be home at Christmas and probably wont get a ticket but that's fair enough I'll sit in the Aves and watch it with my mates, might be a bit warmer too

Ditto.. since I live abroad, I can't pick & choose who the opposition are & I don't care, it's usaully a chance to take my nephew.. last 3 trips over at Xmas we've been to Reading, Boro & Leicester (all Championship) so I wish it hadn't been bloody Man U cos we won't get in..!!

Despite this I support the concept - it's what Lyon do here to guarantee better numbers with Europa league group games

You're right, its probably not going to happen in my life time. But where do we aim our ambition? Do we say 7th is the best we could ever do (After Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Spurs). If so, what is the real point in even being in the premiership? At that point, do you have an open top bus? The only way is to keep looking up and taking the club further. Money has a massive part to play in EPL, whether romantics like it or not. At the end of the day, what's all this name shannanigans about, if not money and getting more supporters.

Money comes from supporters/fans. More supporters means more money. The club should not and should never become a closed shop for those who remember the 'dark days' and were amongst the 1000-3000 attendances at Bootherry. Its already happened, the higher we've got, the more supporters we've had and how many of them are now 'hooked'? If we still only had the 'dark days' supporters - we certainly wouldn't be watching the quality of Huddlestone and Aluko at the club today.

The bigger the club, the better overall, but it does come with downsides (one of which may be fairweather fans).

I am not an "occasional fan" and I'm offended you'd describe people as that. In this day and age, not everyone can afford to go to football matches. You're telling me you'd rather the ticket go to a plastic fan who's been to 3 games, than me who's been to 1?

I am a long term fan, so don't try and patronise me and say otherwise.

So go to one of the other matches. Surely as a City fan you want to see City and not the opposition?
