A buttie to me is a cob/roll/barm/etc, not a slice of bread

Don't be ludicrous. I normally prefer brown bread, but A CHIP BUTTIE is white bread, with the chips melting the spread. With salt, vinegar; and whatever you're having with the chips - pie, fish, etc, and dipped in gravy or curry.

I'm going to the chippy now for my tea....

But ****ing cod is £5! (large) FIVE ****ING POUNDS.......:emoticon-0120-doh:

Might get a sausage dinner. :emoticon-0112-wonde

So do you make and eat the chip butty first or last? I take the square ended chips put them in the bread and finish off with that when the fish [or whatever] is eaten.

No. Normal ham <ok>

Bought some cheap crumbed ham for the dog from Tesco's reduced counter for £1.20 the other week (should have been £3.00). Went to give it to him and the daughter went mad and said it was perfect for sandwiches for school. Poor dog had to make do with the lamb's hearts, pig's liver and oxtails I boiled him up.

Poor thing. :embarrassed:

edit: the ****ers just farted and it reeks of last week's meat. :emoticon-0119-puke:

Bread = Carbs

#fatbatards

I run/jog/crawl @ 40k a week, so I can indulge myself once a week. Or twice if we include Sunday dinner! Was going to get an Indian on Thursday, but this chippy talk is killing me.

****ing hell. Don't you live in/near Scarborough? That's ****ing ludicrous <yikes>

Dive straight in and make the biggest butty I can with everything in. Normally bursts through the top and covers my fingers! Always save a round until the end to mop up the curry or gravy. Or peas.

Haddock is @ £3. I prefer cod though. It is a big cod though, and they only do one size. The daughter and her sister who I sometimes babysit/childmind get one between them and it's well enough. I'm a fat bastard though! <laugh>

Normally I can handle and udnerstand the lingo, but I am completely lost here.

This from the nation that calls chips "fries" and crisps "chips".

Tbh, this barm/bap thing is a war between people who are as little as 15 miles apart. Not surprising you don't get it.

You twat, I'm salivating just reading that ffs

I'll be thinking of that later, whilst I'm eating my skinless chicken breast & ratatouille <doh>

Can't beat cod and chips. I never eat the butty first, a left over from when I was a kid being told I'd stuffed myself with the rubbish and left the most expensive bit on the plate - the fish. I do the same with Sunday roast, eat the meat first in case [the unlikely event that now as an adult] I may leave anything on the plate it will be the cabbage!

I always get the least enjoyable things out the way first!
