OT. So What Do YOU Call a Circular Domed Piece of Bread?

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by Red Hadron Collider, Oct 25, 2013.

  1. A buttie to me is a cob/roll/barm/etc, not a slice of bread

Scousers invented 'The Buttie'. It's made with two rounds of bread, or one round folded over. Stop being deliberately argumentative.

    This is a controversial issue.

ALWAYS brown on a bacon or sausage buttie.

    Ketchup is acceptable on chips.

Anyone who says mayo, is either a clog wearer or a Yank.

Mayonaise with Chips/French Fries? That is not a yank thing at all, but I have seen plenty of Canadians do that!!!!! With Fries/Chips in yankland it is almost always, always, salt and ketchup.

Mate I'd have to use half a bottle of HP to be able to swallow the thing.

Anybody have a phase [for me early years secondary school] calling a butty a sanger?

Well I know where you're from mate - I was thinking more of you in Liverpool pointing to a ham barm in Sayers asking how much the ham butties were - it'd take them a week to work it out <laugh>
