'Pool and United both draw to teams that (to those clubs' fans) are far inferior to them.

Hm.

Perhaps the Mousers are right and 'Pool and United are evenly matched in rivalry terms - finally.

I can't see United getting any higher than 7th or 8th this season, which is where 'Pool will most likely end up.

Your prediction for West Ham? Must be top 4, no?

After the disgusting incident at Villa Park yesterday, when an assistant referee could have been killed by a flare thrown by the spurs fans, how many games do you think the FA will ban you from attending your games. I think 6 would be fair, given the severity if the incident.
I know it was only one fan who did it, but as we have seen in previous incidents, the whole group should be judged on this one individual. (See monkey gestures at Anfield incident, which made us all racists according to many posters on this forum). So, by the same thinking, surely you are all potential flare throwing linesmen killers and a cooling off period is needed.

Assistant referees surely? Anfield needs to be closed down in an effort to address the blatant sexism being displayed here <whistle>

You'd have to launch it will some speed to kill someone. Those sort of smoke grenades normally weigh 300-500 grams.

I'm not going to condone the idiots that throw these things (regardless of what club they support) but it amazes me how they always manage to get them into the ground. The level of search at games is certainly not what it was when I were a lad. Makes me laugh - if you light a *** in a ground the security are onto you before you've had a drag on it but time and again people are launching flares and smoke bombs.

wonder if David Cameron will be releasing a statement in regards to the near death experience suffered by the lines-person yesterday. :)

Considering West Ham and Millwall basically had a full-blown war on Green Street a few years back and didn't get any fan-bans (yes, they are called that now) i can't see it happening to us. If it does, its anti-semitism :P

I'm not appologising for their behavour either. Just countering the hyperbole.

Banners, such as painted bed sheets, are wrapped around your beer belly.

Bottle tops are kept in pockets. And that really pisses me off how you're served a 500ml bottle of coke in the bottle with the top removed. DON'T YOU KNOW IT'S FOR YOUR OWN BLEEDIN' SAFETY!!!

And you'd be suprised what you can stuff down the front of your trousers (Y-fronts are preferable). No one want to stick their hands down there. Including the wife <wah>

Or maybe "hidden in plain sight". It works well in all situations. If you're looking at people's groins for contraband, you're not looking at their hands.

Hopefully whoever did it gets convicted for assault and a lifetime ban from Spurs. Don't care if they meant to hit him or not <ok>
