What's strange about reading posts on similar threads that contradict the poster's views, standards & principles?

Remembering what people post is hardly rocket science, it's then not difficult to substantiate what you have noticed with direct quotes. It actually strengthens your argument. Of course it becomes more difficult if, after being found out, the said poster deletes all his previous posts.

Subscribing to a thread is simple, even you could manage it, with minimum supervision.

    You gormless ****

You're wrong, this is not about baiting and people biting, this is about some of our prominent posters posting so-called jokes that went way beyond humour of any sort. When challenged on them, they choose to defend their idea of humour and their right to post it. One of those posters has changed his name (on here) but is still outspoken about his rights and is never shy in bringing his particular style of humour in whenever possible; usually with a reference to the original thread. He says kids shouldn't read this football forum, although he knows they do and yet he continues with his filth even though, as he says, there are other areas of NOT606 that seems to cater for the morally challenged.
There are two guys from Doncaster who used very similar techniques to become known to and groom vulnerable young boys; is a football forum really the place for this ****e?

This wasn't about the extreme jokes thread. This was someone offering to bum Robo's sister I think.

Some enjoy the football banter and a full and enjoyable life to boot. As one of the mods who endorses the filth that is recalled on here by a minority, does it occur to you that the 'good name' of this board is used to endorse the name change campaign? Have you ever heard of a moral compass, by any chance?

A bit dramatic that Fez. I don't see anything on here, that could remotely suggest child grooming.

I don't know what you're on about now but bringing the extreme jokes thread up at every opportunity and on several threads really isn't helping anything.

So you've taken what I said about how to deal with people baiting others and brought grooming young boys into it. Right...

What do you mean, 'I think'? I referred to the extreme joke thread to give my point context to a poster who I do not recall being involved. Of course, I had no need to give it context to you, did I?

I don't bring it up at every opportunity, simply when the usual suspects start to drift into their dubious brand of banter. What do you help with your posts?

No, I explained my viewpoint and how I arrived at it; you are welcome to yours. As for the grooming remark, then yes, I have taken it there, as it is innocuous boards, such as this, that these internet perverts use to move on to their ultimate goals - don't take my word for it, use your internet savvy and Google a bit of research; the evidence is overwhelming. Of all of the places where folk can debase themselves, wouldn't it be good if we maintained some sort of standard on here?

Too many folks are reading into the various threads and making two and two equal three.

The main issue was not ever the content of a post. It was the reaction to it. The mods were not given the chance to deal with it as it wasnt reported. When it was reported it was removed. Just like today, a post was put up to bait others and it was removed.

I am not going to moderate my language on here, it's not a rule and whilst I accept it may not be pleasant reading to some, it is how I choose to post, there is a swear filter. When Facebook stops swearing and crude jokes, I will reconsider my position.

I never have and never will support the obscene or racist posts, but it's not my role on here to police the site. I leave that to the mods.

I think you are making the mistake that I initially did in assuming that a moderator on this site was similar to other forum sites where part of their responsibility is to make sure a code of conduct and respect for people is maintained.

Clearly our mods do not undertake any arbitration or mediator roles because that would require them remain impartial in debates rather than egg on and buddy up to their young chum friends.
