That's bullshit. If someone (even a stranger) offers to sexually abuse members of your family it's one of the worst insults. People on here who post stuff like that are scum.
Bollocks, if someone abuses you on here you just move on. Theres not one person on here who means anything to me so therefore their opinions, insults etc mean nothing to me so I don't get all cry baby over what they say. Man up ffs
Asking about having 'a daughter who is of age' is hardly 'offering to sexually abuse a member of your family'.
Some are far too prissy on here and seem unable to distinguish a joke from a serious insult, or threat.
I agree that there are shades of acceptability, but eventually the limit is reached and then passed; it is the passing of that limit that some on here revel in. I have not followed this thread, but I do know a good joke when I see or hear one and baby-rape and extreme racism don't qualify for me, nor do conversational references to having sex with another posters family member. It's clear that there are a number of posters on here who do know each other and seem to share the same gutter humour, so perhaps they should use a more appropriate board that can be better monitored for their dubious outpourings.
I have no doubt we will get the usual defence that we don't have to read them, or even that we are too sensitive - the usual arguments of disregard and intolerance. What makes me laugh is that this argument is clearly meant to apply to the kids who use this so-called football forum. These posters, who have put themselves in a position of influence, used one of these kids to front the Bubble campaign against WYP; tell me, do you crack these types of joke at your family gatherings?
Is this a family football forum with light hearted off-thread posts, or should kids be discouraged from understanding what makes some of our more progressive thinkers tick?

And I would strongly discourage any kids from using this site, there's posters on other sections of this forum that are far worse than anything seen on our particular section. Anyone who thinks, hosted by not606, that this Hull board could be family/child friendly is deluding themselves to the point their head is floating around somewhere in the magnetosphere.
So I would say kids shouldn't be allowed. That includes you Craig.

Most certainly. Robo is a shining example of this. Yesterday Robo dished out a torrent of hateful, abusive insults at me, then this thread appeared. Go figure.

Where does the moral highground step in? You believe it acceptable to call somebody a **** & a twat. You find it acceptable to threaten people. Yet when somebody makes the light hearted quip "Can I shag her" & somebody else responds that she maybe a he you feel the need to complain to the mods & get their posts deleted. Sort yourself out. Practice what you preach & people may start to take you a little more seriously.
