By the way, the odds of you predicting 2 opening games on the bounce are 1784/1.

About the same chances as Cairney one day playing for England...

The chances of him predicting the next 2 opening games are long odds, but the chances of him getting 2 in a row right are 1 in 46 because he already has the last one right and there's only 46 possible fixtures for the opening day. :p

EDIT: BTW, how've you worked it out as 1,784? A Championship season has 46 alternatives so two seasons would be 46*46, I can't be arsed to work it out but it ends in a 6, and a PL season is 38 so a PL season and a Championship one (38*46) will end in an 8, and 2 PL seasons (38*38) will be less than 1,600.

If Cairney had a sex change he could easily make the England netball team!

Correct. If he was to pick the next two games then H-D would be correct.

He reckons he predicted Fulham for the opening day of the PL season. The odds of doing that are 38/1 (if you say home or away)

He also claims that he predicted Swansea for the opening day of last season. The odds of that are 46/1 (if he stated we would play them at home)

    46 x 38 = 1784 :)

Actually, I may have confused you by saying two on the bounce. I meant those two Cairney-For-England stated. Anyway, doesn't matter, I'm tired...

Right I see now, you've got the last two digits the wrong way round. All I knew was the last digit was wrong because the 6*8 would give an 8 at the end. Should probably have worked out that example myself knowing that 38*38 would be less than 1,600 (40*40) and that 46*46 would be over 2,000 (45*45 being 2025).

Millwall? Or was that just an early kick off because of :police: Unless you were QPR, Cardiff or Leeds (or playing them) you really didn't get much tv time, the BBC were the main culprits for this, Sky were a bit more selective. Though if those were the 4 games sky showed, Preston aside i don't really blame them for not showing us anymore!

Agreed, I can sort of see why they liked QPR so much but what was with the Leeds obsession?! FL show favoured them too.
