It pisses me off so much when people say 'Burnleh' or 'Citeh'. You are going out of your way to be a knob
Yes. We clearly care about this competition and give it all that it deserves. Anyone but Leicester. We will put out a team that has no chance of winning and AKCJ here will rub it in our faces.
I hope we field some ineligible larkers and get booted out the competition, so we exit without losing. It's a rubbish tournament- we're best off out of it.
Depending who we draw next round but Brucey putting Hudd Livermore and Davies on the bench means he fancies a little tickle at it. Chelsea away and he wont go mad with a first team
There really isn't an issue. Lose - meh, so you beat our reserve team in a competition we don't give a **** about. Win - You lost to our ****ing reserves . How **** are you when you can't even beat us when we want to be knocked out? Personally Newcastle away looks a good draw. They're hit and miss and after the league game will be under pressure to beat us. Play a weakened team in a different set up to the League game, Harper in goal again as he's popular up there. Keep them quiet for a bit and the fans will turn on them (and be questioning why Harper was let go as he's playing a blinder against them). Hopefully get their players frustrated and they can pick up a few yellow cards as well. Even if they go on to beat us it could be a big help in the relegation battle when suspensions kick in and fans aren't behind them (every little helps on that last bit).
Personally I like watching football matches and I think games like last night which give me a chance to see people like Henderson, Gedo, etc play is most welcome. Hell, even Prossy, Fryatt and Meyler are unlikely to make the pitch any time soon so it was nice seeing them all play. I don't see the point in debating whether we want a cup run or not, at this stage it means nothing but if we happen to get a bit further and we get close to Wembley then we'd start taking it seriously. We'd be stupid not to in that situation. The League is the priority of course. If we get knocked out all those players won't get a chance to play any competitive games for ages and I don't want that. We've got a big enough squad for it not to affect us.
You calling someone else a knob is quite hypocritical, even though you have been pretty fair recently.
Is it hypocritical if you're right? Whilst I'm at it, is it hypocritical if a born-again-Christian uses the phrase yolo?
Why would I do that? If you put out your first team you'll win. If you put out your second team then we might win and it'll be a hollow victory because you don't really have that many good reserve players.
No idea why we are turning our noses up at this cup. I want the easiest draw possible so if Tranmere can beat Stoke i'll take them at the KC. Any chance to get to Wembley shouldn't be turned down as something little. We are a small club really so the chance to get to Wembley would be huge, its a long way off but i would love to go back again and win a cup.
