sorry guru but that is an unbelievably daft thing to post.
battling back to win a game of football from two goals down, an out of form side who are on the back of two straight defeats, when the pressure is building on you... he goes and makes three game-changing and inspiring substitutions and you think winning that all heaps more pressure on him?
bizarre!
he hasn't played anti-football (as you call it) at any point during this season - it's a complete myth. he's been positive in his team selections - too positive on occasions - but i assume that because we have failed to score too often you think you're right? he has been let down by his players this season. last season there was much to work on but he's made adjustments this season to the style and even carrabuh has noticed! his subs have been better timed so far with more attacking intent. last nights result won't change much in the long run because the cup is not a priority and if we lose at stoke he will quickly be under yet more pressure (unnecessary pressure imo, as you know) but how can winning a game be a bad thing when what we ALL needed was a big boost and a bit of luck?
if we get a little more luck tonight, get a nice home tie (i fancy us to beat anyone at home) then we are 90 minutes away from another league cup quarter final. a good, positive performance away to stoke, maybe even three points and all of a sudden we are looking at a different season. it is far, far too early for this kind of pressure to be placed on the manager. if the league results continue to stutter through to christmas then he will rightly be in trouble but it is still september for goodness sake - last night was the first time hooper has been fit enough to start!
