Do you think so, I didn't think he was all that with W.Brom, shocking run before he was given the 'spanish archer'. At Chelsea, that side picked itself...literally! JT,FL,DD etc.
He had been on an awful run but prior to that he'd done really well in the league which is why they were still on target to stay up when he was sacked(I think). He also did well in getting them up, if I remember rightly they some really good football. Winning the CL and FA Cup aint too bad either. I'm not saying I'm his biggest fan but after his success at Chelsea I thought a better side would've been willing to take a chance on him.
It would be a good fit that's for sure. I think it depends how serious Curbishley is about taking a job in management, he's been all talk so far.
El Bow. Yeah, promotion is commendable, but as a PL coach, dunno. Ok, CL and FA cup sit next to his name, but like I said, just how much influence he had on that side I'm not sure. AVB tried to tell them what to do, and look where that got him!
Something isn't right as he always came a across as a serious professional, was great at Charlton and overall was a decent manager without being a world beater, yet to take such a long time out of the game must mean there are other reasons, as when you look around and see managers like Ian Hollway in a job in the premier league or even Di Canio then Curbishley just needs to take one job outside the premier league, impress and he will get a chance. Unless he has lost all motivation.
I'll be honest and admit I view Di Matteo as a clown, and while hes a nice guy, I put him with Avram Grant in terms of their credibility....BUT I saw this posted on the Sunderland Forum and he has a good record so as a clown he can have the last laugh! please log in to view this image
Yeah it was odd. I don't rate him that highl, I'm just fed up of seeing him on SSN whenever someone gets sacked and saying he's interested in the job.
I just read about a 66 year old pensioner in Columbia took Viagra to impress his new girl friend with his sexual prowess. Well,he's had an erection for several days and now in so much pain he went to the hospital. They found "it" had gangrene and had his penis amputated.........and Di Matteo thought HE had problems!!!!
I knew he had a decent record as a manager, but I didn't realise it was as impressive as that. The reason I don't like him is because I think he's an arrogant smug twat.
If I were RDM, I'd wait till the Fulham job becomes available. It's a much better job and a better squad to work with. Also means he and his wife won't have to move out the area. Being honest he isn't a brilliant manager but at that level he's more than good enough and deserves another chance given the way he was disgracefully treated at Chelsea.
Not so much by CFC but by Mad Dog. Unless you're going to try to convince me that there is anyone at Chelsea who tells Mad Dog what to do? In any event, RDM is in pretty decent company, for having been treated disgracefully by Mad Dog. Maureen is going to be the first manager to have been treated disgracefully twice by him.
What sort of a team will Mourinho field against Swindon tomorrow? Reserves or main? Because unless that 2-0 win over Fulham was the catalyst for something better to start this season Jose will be under serious pressure if Chelsea lose.
what does everyone think will be the shock of the round? I wouldn't be surprised if WBA beat Arsenal really.
