In the long term, maybe, right now, Mata is quality, just behind Ozil as the best #10 in the league IMHO
Of course, they'll all be in Ford's shadow come next season <ok>

I knew you weren't serious but my posts today have been too humorous (well **** you lot, I found them funny!) to restore my inner balance I felt it neceesary to stay on topic and avoid further amusement!

I reckon Aspas & Assaidi are the same fella, you've been fleeced by some canny agent, they whisked one out the back door, changed his shirt & wheeled him back in the front...
 
Mata out of the Chelsea squad again today and following Jose's comments about him wanting Oscar to be the number 10 at Chelsea and Mata would have to play on the right but do some defending if he wants to play for Chelsea it sounds like he really isn't fancies and could be gone in Jan or the Summer.

Would love him to come, can't see it happening but with him being cup tied in the CL, it might mean a few of the bigger clubs won't want to pay top money for him in Jan which could give us an advantage. Let's hope BR can chat up his buddy Jose and try strike up a deal!

How the hell can you say Ozil is the best #10 in the league? He's only played 1 game in which his opponents let him walk into the hole, stay there and select the balls he wanted to play without any pressure! Let's see how he fares against a properly constructed defence.

Rafa would have got slaughtered had he made the selection decisions that Jose and Brendan have made today <doh>
 
If Rafa had dropped Mata and said he was building the team around someone else, he'd have been shot. But Saint Jose can do whatever he wants, screw up and still be idolised at a club he only achieved something with because he had the backing of a crazy billionaire.

Wonder who the next manager will be
 
Liverpool set to make a ambitious move for PSG midifelder

Liverpool are ready to launch a January bid for PSG play-maker Javier Pastore after the player&#8217;s agent admitted his client has grown unhappy with life in France.

Pastore kick-started PSG&#8217;s big-spending when he arrived from Palermo in 2011, but despite a handful of good performances, he has largely struggled to impress.

The 24-year-old was linked with a move away over the summer, but said at the time he wanted to prove himself to new manager Laurent Blanc.

However, after a difficult start to the season, Pastore&#8217;s agent says the pass-master is unhappy with Ligue 1 and may leave.

Liverpool have been on the lookout for a big money marquee player, but missed out on Willian to Chelsea in the summer, and are yet to find an available alternative.

But it&#8217;s thought around £17million would be enough to get Pastore from PSG &#8211; and the Argentine international would reportedly relish the opportunity to move to the Premier League.

These are the sort of players we have to take a gamble on; have the talent but lack consistency. It would then be up to BR and his staff to get the best out of him.
