What a lovely club. Glad that we've dug them out of a hole for several years by sending them youth prospects every season.
I used to know a guy who played for Millwall about 30 years ago. He reckoned if they lost an away match, then the players would dread getting back to The Den as they often found their cars with the windscreens smashed by irate Millwall fans.
can believe that! many years back when visiting one of my mates who lived in Upton park, once came out the station, walking past the stadium, pub, shops and I asked ''why are the windows boarded up' ......'west ham are playing millwall'
I grew up in the Milwall FC area, we had Millwall players take us for football at school. The reputation of the fans goes back at least 50 years. Many I knew were proud of their thug image. Everyone new that it was best to avoid the area on match days. Why do you think I became a Spurs fan!
Players I missed: Livermore played 90 minutes for Hull in their 1-1 draw with our next league opponents and Khumalo helped Doncaster to a clean sheet.
Carroll had a slow start but general view was he was positive, ambitious with his passing but strikers too slow to read his passing.
Pritchards' pass to Mason that led to the shot off the post was superb. Masons' pass for the first Swindon goal was superb too. And you cannot really count the pass before Mason scored as an assist (as you will see if you watch the footage) .
On the Mason front ... Is he a bit too good for that league, and should be in the league above ?? A quick check says he had 5 loan appearances for Millwall, but no info on how that worked out.
I think Alex Pritchard might be the first player to be suspended this season. Apparently he has already received 5 yellow cards and will miss Swindon's big match at home to Bristol City on Saturday.
Are they silly yellow cards ?? Or stuff Pritchard has been doing beforehand in the U21 league etc, that the refs have let go there but cannot in actual league games ??
Smith played for Derby in a 2-2 draw tonight and had a shot cleared off the line from the sounds of things.
Pritchard's suspension has made his manager talk about his attitude to the media. He seems to think that the player's picking up bookings because of his aggressive attitude and having a dig at the refs. Two of them were for dissent, so it seems he's right. Something for him to work on, unless he makes it into the England side pretty quickly!
Hmm, dissent is a silly way to get yellows. And yes in the U21 league they might be more lenient on that (in a Spurs U21 game against Man Utd their player got a yellow for dissent - he was a gobshite all game and the ref repeatedly told him to shut it before then - even a Man Utd supporter beside me said the kid was known for not keeping his hole shut) .
Assou-Ekotto tweeted earlier that he'd been up since 1am playing GTA 5! Redknapp will be happy to hear that, as QPR have a game tonight against Brighton.

Should be interesting, Benny organizes a training session with kids. Little did he know when he filmed this he'd be training with kids himself back home!
