Jake Livermore continued his run in the Hull side, who won 3-2 away at St James' Park. Tom Huddlestone joined him in the middle.
Assou-Ekotto and Carroll played 90 minutes as QPR won 1-0 away to Yeovil Town. Jenas also completed the whole game and Niko Kranjcar came off the bench for the last 20 minutes.
Khumalo saw his Doncaster side pegged back by a late Andy Reid goal, as Man Utd's Federico Macheda got both goals for the home side in a 2-2 draw.
Adam Smith was on the losing side at Pride Park as Reading continued their decent week with a 3-1 reverse.
Grant Hall was our only current representative for Swindon, as the nicked a late win in a 3-2 win over Bristol. Mason missed out via injury and Pritchard was suspended. Luongo and Kasim also played.

Swindon TWICE went behind before going on to win. I heard the winning goal scored from my house - it must have been a great atmosphere there. Bristol City fans cried on their way home and tried to pick fights with the police at the railway station. When will they ever learn?

And don't forget peeps, Swindon Hotspur are on the telebox on Tuesday. They're playing some obscure team from London called Chelsea (sounds like a girl's name).

Mason is a big doubt.
I doubt we'll find a Spurs stream tonight, these early rounds are rarely shown, so I think the Swindon game is going to be the one to watch.
Put me down for a home win. The Town End will bully the Chelsea players into mistakes.

Swindon did very well tonight, matching Chelsea for the first 20 minutes. They played one-touch football for a few minutes and it was magical. Chelsea didn't have a clue. Pritchard was Swindon's best player again by a mile. He took an awesome freekick - over the wall into the bottom right corner - forcing the keeper to make a great save.
Mata was honestly second rate. Torres missed more times than I could count.

I'd just like to say as a Hull City fans, and been to every game this year, Jake Livermore is an excellent player. One for the future for sure.

He's a big Spurs fan, so we'd all like to see him succeed at WHL, but he's facing massive competition to force his way into contention.We've got Paulinho, Dembele, Sandro and Capoue fighting it out for the two central midfield places this season and they're all excellent, from what I've seen of them.
Nice to see Livermore and Huddlestone getting a bit of appreciation and game time at the KC (or the Garden of Earthly Delights, as your owner probably wants to rename it), though.

Well there's rumours up here that if we stay up Livermore is ours for £3.5million if we want him. apparent clause in his loan contract with us.
He's certainly become a favourite of mine, puts himself all over the pitch, great pairing with Huddlestone. As for Huddlestone aka 'Thud' he has made an excellent start, those 2 alone completely knocked Cabaye & Sissoko off the park last weekend at St James' Park. Anyone else you want to send our way? a certain Mr.Defoe would be great!
...and if Rickie Lambert is ahead of Defoe what does that say, it proves the manager is a bit of a berk, there again he needs a tall player to hoof it to when all else fails!
If Hudd and Jake go, I like them, but seriously? thats a pretty sorry state to be in if they're the best English available.
England are a sorry state though. Townsend was called up after a handful of prem games for crying out loud
It is a pretty sorry state in English football at the moment. Huddlestone's as good as any option England have in central midfield, the only trouble is Hodgson wants players that can run around a lot and chase lost causes whilst Huddlestone's the kind of player you want if you're trying to play good football.
Said several times on here, Huddlestone would be fantastic for England, just the bit of class that is missing. Cleverly is not fit to lace his boots in my opinion.
All the while England have just the run around players in midfield instead of guy's who can pass a ball ,we will get nowhere
Considering the competition Holtby has to get into the German team, how good would it have been if we'd convinced him to play for England? He can barely get in our team but he'd be a god for England, a million miles ahead of the likes of Cleverley who seems to have cemented his place as an England regular without even being any good.
Ignoring fitness and bad form I wouldn't put Hudd ahead of Gerrard and Wilshere in CM, both offer more. As for Cleverley, same as you...??
Anyway, I came here to mention Christian Ceballos, no mention on the OP. So far he has had 90 on the bench, followed by half an hour in Arouca's last game...not much going on there by the look of it.
