Yes Joe, that's the way. I told you about my sis-in-law doing bar work? She's just this week got and started an admin job at a hospital (kids ward). She got by continually asking and writing. It really does work.

Now when a 'law' job comes up (that was her degree) and she applies, what looks better: bar work or working in a children's ward at a hospital? I know neither are relevant to a law job, but human suspicion is pretty common place.

So she's left the bar job then? Or is she juggling both?

Ever thought of China? My old boss used to work there, admittedly got 'yellow fever' of the attraction to Chinese women type, and after 7 years back in the UK, upped and left to live in China. Ditched everything and went. Ok, he was 50 and had contacts, a part share of a business and he spoke a little of the language. He didn't go straight to work though; he went to college to learn Chinese and teach English. Four years later he is married to a local and fluent in mandarin. His daughter is going out for a year now having just finished Uni here. If you were really brave, he'd help and advise you if you fancied china.

I have thought of China, but to me it seems scarier than most countries because it's big and strange and the language barrier is pretty significant. I'd love to go to Africa personally.

If I could choose where to work. I'd like to work in Canada or Japan.

GBS, I've started a dialogue through work with a company called Bombardier in Belfast. Not automotive but I bet your degree/skills translate easily. They are in aerospace and I believe trains. This link talks about how to work for them

Here

I did a week of work shadowing there when I was in school, and I'd happily go and work there if I knew there was an area that I could get by in, seeing as most of the fundamentals in automotive and aeronautical engineering are the same.

But yeah, thanks for the link man <ok>

How often do you see each other?

She only moved up 2 weeks ago but probably gonna be about once a month + Xmas/easter etc. Depends on exams and that kind of thing.

Well at least it is part of the plan, I was wondering for a minute if it was for the worse.

Yeah dentistry is really full on like medicine so you only get a few weeks off a year, so the wedding either had to be this Summer or in four years time, she chose now(!). Then next year I am joining the RAF, so I'll be somewhere else. Anyway I'll for boring you with my life story. :) moving back to my dads was obvious because I am at uni here, and I've got 2 degrees to pay for. :(

This is interesting

How much difference there is in square yardage of a pitch in the Premier League.

Just had my flights and a hostel booked, and tickets confirmed for Borussia Dortmund v Arsenal away in the champions league.

Should be a good few days! Does anyone know any arsenal songs!? :s

Wow, I knew there was a fair bit of difference, but it really surprised me when he shows it marked out on a pitch.

That is interesting. Makes me think standardising pitch length is actually pretty important.
