West Ham owner's son has told West Ham fans on Twitter than Andy Carroll will be missing out after getting injured in training.
And if it's an aggravation of an Achilles problem, things could get rather dire over there...if he requires surgery, that's his season over with, and Maiga/Vaz Te are not much of a strike force. And worse still, even in January they'd need to shift payroll to be able to acquire an additional striker.
As a side note would anyone trade lovren for astori right now? At the time i was a little disappointed that we didnt push harder for Astori but lovrens performances so far have ben exceptional. He hasnt really been pushed defensively but he has defended excellently when called upon, he has looked good in possession and seems to know where to position himself in relation to the leftback, and as a bonus he genuinely looked dangerous against norwhich when he went for a dribble. Fonte has also been solid, he isnt as good as maya though and i feel our defence will go up a level with clyne and maya back in the team. I would hesitate to drop fonte without yoshida proving his form in the carling cup. It is a tough one though as i think the sooner we play our best team the better.
I'll let you two and DTLW decide. Whoever does it just bring us a nice home win please! Can't stand the thought of a smirking Fat Sam on Sky.
The best team, doesn't always have the best players. A simple theory off overlooked by football fans.
Lovren strikes me as a player who wants to be loved. Put in a big effort right from the beginning to win the fans over. We are fans who want to love our players. Match made in heaven...he has played well...looks a great purchase.
Right, so Saints fans only support Saints dependent on who the opposition is. They really are great Saints fans then, let's applaud them, they are the future of our club. But if we don't sell out, will this scupper the superfans plans to expand St Mary's to 50,000?
They don't have much luck when they splash the cash do they? Their last big splurge was on Dean Ashton from us.
I went last year. I am going this year. I try to go to every home game work permitting. I agree I just go to watch saints, then when it comes to chelsea Liverpool etc I struggle to get a ticket due to all the ****ers who only want to see a trendy team. I f*****g hate these people, why extend the stadium to accommodate them? Well unfortunately we have to if we want bigger gates more money bigger players etc
I would expect maya to partner lovren better than fonte. We have made no significant defensive errors but we really havent been tested yet and i would feel more confident going into the tougher games with the maya and lovren partnership already established. I think pochettinos quite conservative team selection is styming the progress of the team. To get the best players playing well together requires match play and i feel that should start now. We have looked far from balanced in attack and i feel the reintroduction of our natural attackers is a necessary step towards us playing our best football. With morgan and wanyama covering we cant go too far wrong against a depleted west ham
